Rick Santorum Tags Ben Carson: My Bill to Save Terri Schiavo Was Not “Much Ado About Nothing”

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is taking issue with comments pro-life presidential hopeful Ben Carson made about the legislation Congress passed to help Terri Schiavo's family try to save her life.

As LifeNews reported, Carson thinks the federal and state governments overreached when they attempted to protect Terri Schiavo from a painful 14-day starvation and dehydration death...

"All life deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. That was the message that persuaded every member of the senate to agree to a federal court review before Terri was starved to death," Santorum said.

Santorum told LifeNews that there was such agreement in the Senate on the bill at the time that it was passed unanimously and even had the support of Democratic leader Harry Reid.

Time to quit beating up Gentle Ben. He is nothing, and never was anything but a leftist tool against Trump.

What a contemptible view for a doctor to hold. It’s horrid that any human being could think such things, but having a doctor say something so disgusting is frightening. All lives are important. It’s sad the good doctor doesn’t think so.

Santorum is a good man.

What I never understood was why the ex cared if Terry lived. What an absolutely HORRIBLE thing to do to her family. He did not love her because if he did he would never have done that. He moved on. Why should he retain any right to say?

Yet she was starved to death anyway. A law abiding, invalid was starved to death. Folks go to jail or get fined for not feeding their dog, yet a philandering husband gets to starve his wife to death and run off into the sunset with his concubine and illegitimate kids. Talk about misogyny. Yep, Terry Schiavo experienced first hand the war on women. I don’t believe one feminist came to her aid. All under Jeb’s watch and the Florida judiciary.

I think it’s past time to keep giving Carson a pass on everything. I’d like to see Christi, Paul, Huckster and Santorem all start blasting him for his ineptitude at political issues.
