Here why, once a refugee can enter a welcoming state ( mostly Democrat controlled ) like say, California, they can MOVE/TRAVEL TO ANOTHER STATE easily.”

I don't believe Gov. Moonbeam has issued an “all welcome to Kaleefornia” . He is too busy doing a Jed Clampett on his family farm

Easy. Restrict welfare benefits to Strians without personal approval of the governor.

The 10th amendment has been dusted off and now takes precedence.

However, the Office of Refugee Resettlement is required to consult with state and local governments and nonprofit agencies to accept recommendations made by state officials.

So, recommend that each state's National Guard set up and operate its own Guantanamo Bay-like refugee housing facility. Syrians can stay until they are willing to return home voluntarily.

Should take less than a week. :)

There's precedent for it from when FDR turned away the St. Louis which was full of Jews fleeing Hitler's Germany.

Those folks weren't from a region where terrorism is the norm and where terrorists have sworn to attack our nation. Nor were they members of a religion that has sworn to spread it's control to the whole planet, by the sword if need be.

Any argument that ignores that fact is just propaganda intended to blind people to the real history of our dealing with immigration in turbulent times.

I think the states that said no are practically on the losing end.??

I tend to agree with that statement, however the States have been given an Ace in the Hole by the US supreme Court. They just need to be creative and think outside the Box!

The KELO DECISION gave STATES the Absolute Right to Sieze Private Property for “Economic Gain”. Immediately begin siezing Private Property for “Economic Gain” from FEDERAL EMPLOYEES! House them in the homes that used to belong to those Federal Employees.! I would start with Judges , Congressman, Senators....

ABCNews is still deep in the tank for their god.

I won’t sully myself further by visiting any more government propaganda alphabet sites.

congress has the power to stop it by not funding the refugee program. However this would involve a “government shutdown” which the cowards are scared to death of.

Better question: Can a president import immigrants without congress changing immigration law?

This was on a blog on Stuart Varney today.
Stuart, here is the most important number of States, 33... Once 33 States have decided on any issue they can declare a Article V convention on that subject, and then once they have 38 states ratify it becomes the “Law of the Land” as a Constitutional Amendment. With as fast as the States have reacted we may be at 33 States this time tomorrow. If the President really wants to push this the States do have a means to push back and the Executive, Congressional and the Judicial Branches wont be able to stop them.

Would you want to be the governor who said “Yes bring them here” when they start terrorist attacks?

The Dems are going to look pretty bad at the first attack by one of them. The same goes for anyone in Congress who doesn’t vote to keep them out.

In plain English the Tsarnaev family were refugees from Makhachkala, Dagestan, after Chechnya invaded Dagestan. They made their way to the US and applied for asylum, which was granted. They were then fast-tracked to citizenship while collecting several hundred thousand dollars on welfare. After being granted asylum, the older brother Tamerlan returned to Dagestan for 6 months before returning to the US to plan his bomb attack.

There are a lot of semantic activities on the left claiming they weren’t “refugees” because they weren’t declared refugees by the UN. Their father was on a Russian terror watch list but the US let him in anyway. Apparently the US didn’t think anything of allowing his son to return to a country that that they had to flee from for their own safety. Why not? They let his father, the terrorist, return there as well.

At least that’s what I get from the looking around the internet.

They shouldn’t have been allowed in our country or given citizenship. Would’ve saved quite a few lives, a mere “statistic”, to the left.
