These presidential candidates depend on Wall Street the most

Hillary Clinton is the obvious Wall Street favorite among the three Democrats in the presidential race, with $6.3 million in financial-industry funding. That amounts to 6.4% of all donations. That might make her an easy target for leftist Democrats Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders, who in the latest Democratic debate attacked the close ties Clinton developed with Wall Street while she was a senator from New York. The tactic seems to have worked: Clinton defended herself with a convoluted explanation involving the 9-11 terrorist attacks, which became the most controversial issue spawned by the debate.

When you read this, it appears to be a veiled hit piece on Cruz. I quoted the Hillary part because it makes her look as the purest in terms of accepting the least amount from Wall Street. This is totally absurd. Hillary is the Godfather in a pantsuit. This article strikes me as a hit piece on Cruz and a puff piece for Hillary.

Notice also that Trump is at zero in the chart in terms of accepting any donor money but is not mentioned at all.

Presumably, it would seem quite important to mention that Trump is the purest when looking at superpac donations. He is totally ignored and yet he beats Hillary hands down in this regard.

That is my point. They are focusing on Cruz not Jeb, ignoring Trump, and suggesting Hillary just took a little money not much so she is an angel.

Occupy Wall Street is so yesterday. The new version is Black Lives Matter good for a shelf life of about 12 months.

Trump only takes private donor money. I bet his average per donation is below $25.

If you look up Cruz on opensecrets.org, he has Goldman Sachs (his wife), and Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffet).

"If you look up Cruz on opensecrets.org, he has Goldman Sachs (his wife), and Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffet)."

Cruz is not independently wealthy so like nearly all candidates in the last 100 years must accept donations and get Super Pacs funded.

He knows what these donors want before he walks into the fundraiser/speaking forum/party and he speaks to what they want as any other candidate would do.

And, such a system has a consistent ability to shape the narrative of the candidate and acts as a fairly reliable predictor of their policy position.

Unless Ted Cruz is different than nearly every candidate that preceded him.

Trump gets the media free air time.

Donald Trump has received more attention on the nightly news than his 16 rivals - combined.

Unfortunately, Cruz is another “organ grinder’s monkey” for whomever is giving him large donations. What is off the hook is how Trump has run his campaign with very little expenditures to date. That’s what happens when you tell a straight story about the problems facing our country. He’s letting the MSM “finance his campaign” for free because they have to cover him for the bucks he brings in in ad revenue every time he’s on. This is a new paradigm in elective politics, and collectively the MSM and the GoPee haven’t an effing clue as to how to stop it. Trump is playing “rope-a-dope” with all of them!
