Just seven - trained, armed with illegal fully automatic Kalashnikov AK-47 rifles and explosives - managed, in less than 30 minutes, to kill or wound nearly 500 citizens on Friday night. That’s a ratio of nearly 70 victims for each shooter.
How is that possible? How could that have happened? Paris has been on high alert since the Charlie Hebdo and restaurant shootings in January. France and its capital city have strict gun control laws - so strict that even the police are unarmed. Islamist refugees have been flooding into France: poor, hungry, hardly threats to the community.

One thing we DO KNOW - which is that France’s gun control laws DID NOTHING to stop this attack.
As to whether it would have been lessened if a sprinkling of civilians were carrying - no real way to answer that.
One thing I know, because I have been told in no uncertain terms, if Trump is elected that sort of thing will not happen here. Because Trump will outlaw all “Gun free” Zones.

Guns alone would not have made one bit of difference. It would have required Parisians with the wherewithall to carry them and the guts to use them.
This was an indoor rock concert so I suspect they wouldn’t have allowed guests to bring guns anyway permit or no permit.

It would appear to me that the flip-side of the 2nd amendment is that while my right to bare arms is not to be infringed is that I am free to NOT carry an arm should I desire not to. Indeed if I leave in a safe, very low crime place that is isolated from the high crime areas (ahem - Guam) there may very well not be a need to be armed
Honestly, I don’t want everybody to be armed. I do not want any leftist with an agenda to even know how to use a fire arm. I want them to be scared of guns

Gun Free Zones mitigate the effects of Climate Change.
These same zones also facilitate the expansion of target practice by people who ignore signs indicating Gun Free Zones.
