Decades ago, there was this book -> movie -> TV Series called “The Paper Chase” and the challenges that a 1st year law student had with a school legend professor, Professor Charles W. Kingsfield, Jr., ably played by John Houseman in the movie and TV. Even as entertainment, I recall that it did display intellectual challenge that one would have expected in a top Ivy League school, Harvard Law.
In todays ‘precious snowflake’ student world, I wonder if there are any of these professors left. I doubt if any are in the liberal arts but perhaps in the hard sciences and professional graduate schools (I hope!) I can envision Houseman->Kingsfield roasting one of the tender egos up one side and down the other!
Which brings a point to my mind, would you want ANY of these insufferable pity party scholars [sic] to be working for or with you? Really?
And what do professional scouts think of players that are on losing teams? Unless a player is a real standout the scouts will not be interested for very long. These football players may have hosed any chance they had at getting noticed by a professional scout.
They will be left with the choice of finishing their degrees or giving it up and going home a failure. And if they finish their degree you can bet it was in grievance studies of some flavor or sociology of underwater basket weaving. Impressive resume enhancer there!

My unbiased query is how long was the bull-session that created this BS but how much alcohol and intoxicants was wasted as well!

I do the hands up don’t shoot salute quite often as an icebreaker or an entrance or to flag down traffic. On occasion have been told ‘that’s not funny’. My reply, what!!!!!! it’s been a joke always didn’t you know????
