MD, 100 out of 1500 died in Bataclan - so many survived because they ran.

Given the opportunity, 99 out of 100 people in this situation will run and not charge the attacker.

JH, surrendering is not "in the blood" for the French.

France conquered most of Europe under Napoleon, lost millions in WWI, and fought for decades in Algeria and Vietnam.

Human nature is human nature, and the jihadists will use it against the French, and against the British, and against us.
