Bush, Kasich clash with Trump on immigration
The Hill ^ | 11/10/15 | Ben Kamisar

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Tuesday teamed up to attack Donald Trump for his immigration stance, as the GOP presidential front-runner tried to swat their arguments away.

"To send them back, 500,000 a month, is just not possible, and its not embracing American values and it would tear communities apart," Bush said at the Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee, Wis.

"Even having this conversation sends a powerful signal. They are doing high-fives in the Clinton campaign right now when they hear this."

Bush - who has seen a slide in the polls as Trump and other rivals have drowned him out - made a case for practicality over rhetoric, in what was seen as a sharp dig at Trump.

Kasich noted that President Ronald Reagan, a conservative icon, allowed more than a million law-abiding undocumented immigrants to stay in the country.

"Come on, folks, we all know you can't pick them up and ship them across the border," Kasich said. "It's a silly argument."

Trump immediately struck back on Kasich's remark, noting that President Dwight Eisenhower removed more than a million immigrants during his presidency.

There will never be immigration “reform” unless some millions of illegals leave. Otherwise it’s at most a lull in the invasion.

And btw I’m sure there are at least 40 million.

Take away the bennies, forget about the birther citizenship junk, make english the ONLY language in schools, enforce no hiring of illegals and they will self deport pronto. Of course they may not be allowed back into Mexico as they guard their borders.

Well, they will not be for long when Katshitsch and Bush are gone and Trump, Cruz and Carson are last three standing and they support tougher immigration and deportation.

Could someone please tell John Kasich that the words “law abiding” and “illegal” are polar opposites.

There will never be immigration “reform”

See, that's the thing. Everyone says the current immigration policy is broken, it needs to be reformed, but have you ever heard anyone say HOW it's broken?

I sure haven't. It's only broken because people want "in" now. They don't want to have to do the work to become a citizen.

I want those in charge to TELL me how it's broken. The fact that no one has.....speaks volumes, IMHO.

It is possible. We are not talking a serial process here. Using parallel efforts it is possible to process illegals fairly quickly if congress will authorize it. One of the key barriers is the number of immigration judges. There are some things that Congress could do to help accelerate the process.

1. Congress could authorize states to process illegal immigrants through local and state criminal courts and let the localities receive funds to recoup costs for each illegal deported.

2. Congress could temporarily expand the number of immigration judges and offices.

3. Congress could work with Mexico to put together an accelerated process by which illegals are treated to quick extradition if caught within 100 miles of the border. Congress could threaten to cancel trade deals if Mexico does not comply.

Well Obama imported them using G4S and Mexican subcontractors and gave them each a $100 bill paid for by taxpayer funds while footing all their food, shelter and healthcare needs. Currenlt they are vastly overloading our welfare systems and making them teeter on complete insolvency. Heck it will be much cheaper to ship them back and provide millions of jobs for Americans again who WILL pay taxes.

I wish Trump would have had a quick comeback to Krazie Kashich said he can’t ship out 11 million people. Something like, “hey junior, you go sit in the corner and watch me”!

You don’t need a judge or a court. Each immigration case doesn’t need to go to court. If you cannot prove citizenship in the normal manner, you get deported.
Just like at the border.
