A group of Harvard law students are calling for the faculty to drop their official shield, which they say honours a family who made their fortune through slavery.
The members of "Royall Must Fall" want the emblem of the school changing from the current coat of arms of Isaac Royall.
Royall, born in 1719 in Antigua, was the son of wealthy sugar plantation owners and slave traders. The family moved to Massachusetts and on the death of Royall's father, he inherited 12 African slaves -- more than any other household at the time.
Royall was banished from the US after the War of Independence and moved to England, where he died in 1781. And in his will he left land to Harvard College to establish the first professorship in law at the school.
And now students at the university are lobbying to remove Royall's name from their faculty.

Perhaps they should transfer to a more politically correct school.

I really do think that its time that we conservatives embrace this mob rule, re-writing of history. Let's start with removing that racist bigot Woodrow Wilson's name from every building, award or other monument in America. Then let's remove the name of every Democrat Dixicrat Jim Crow politician from every building or other monument in America, including KKK Bryd and Al Gore Senior.

The liberals at Harvard should not only remove the seal, they should distribute the $36 billion Harvard endowment to the historically black colleges and universities as atonement for slavery. It is only fair.
And no, I'm not talking about a violent counter-protest. I'm just looking for some administrator - somewhere - who will tell those self-important little kiddies to just shut the hell up.

These schoolyard circuses aren’t about slavery or racism or the Harvard seal.

I’m getting to the point of where I don’t want my kids to go to college. But that’s probably the goal of these people. Dumbing down.
And yet these idiot lefties all primarily belong and support the Democratic Party, who has its own long history of supporting slavery and mistreatment of blacks.
