Sen. Cruz Demands Answers from Associate AG Nominee on Operation Choke Point (Must-watch Video)

The DOJ has acted as a partisan arm of the White House

Sen. Cruz Questions Associate AG Nominee Stuart Delery on Operation Choke Point (video)

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today in a full Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) questioned the Hon. Stuart Delery, nominee for U.S. Associate Attorney General. Mr. Delery approved Operation Choke Point, a Department of Justice (DOJ) initiative that unconstitutionally sought to choke off access to banking services for gun dealers and other lawful business enterprises.

“The DOJ has a long and bipartisan tradition of staying out of politics, of defending the law and the Constitution, and not acting simply as a partisan arm of whatever president happens to be in the White House. I believe the DOJ has violated that tradition of staying out of politics. The DOJ has an obligation to defend the Constitution, and instead, this Administration’s DOJ has consistently violated the constitutional rights of American citizens and has treated the Bill of Rights with contempt,” Sen. Cruz said. “By cutting off financial resources to lawful small businesses, Operation Choke Point is an abuse of power that undermines the integrity of the DOJ.”

Watch the full exchange here.

Maybe Mike Lee will again start to kick ass after he is reelected, Hatch not withstanding.

Most of these agencies have been sliding toward partisanship but under Obama they've become nothing more than weapons against political opposition.

The little shift-eyed squirmer should be ridden out on a rail...Cruz nailed his sorry hide to the wall.

I used to love Gowdy for these types of questionings, but I’m thinking Cruz is just as good (and more honest).

God Bless you Senator Ted Cruz. I just watched the video. Men of your character and courage are sorely lacking in our Federal Government.

Another good argument for Ted Cruz as the next Attorney General of the United States. He was born for the job. Not POTUS.

Once again a bureaucrat is getting promoted after violating his oath and abusing the people's trust.

This is where everyone gets to see the consequences.

The Soviet Union would have used the Obama Administration as a template had it still been around when the Obamanazis came to power.

and once again NOTHING will be done about it. Why are these people not being charged, they are NOT above the law anymore than anyone else including odumbo. If any one of we, the little people did what those crooked bastards have done we would already be in prison.

Yup. A huge double standard.

I was telling my wife the other day that “the silent majority” are fed up and will start pushing back.

B.S.!

His fidelity to conservative and constitutional principles, fiscally, social, and military (far outshines Trump with his business experience) and his refusal to back down on conservative positions and NOT change his positions makes him a much, much better leader than Trump!

They found Lerner innocent. They let Holder ship guns to Mexico, Hillary lie over and over with no charges. They do nothing on illegals. They are a crooked, Left-Wing operative masking as cops when they are useless Commies pushing an agenda. It would be funny if it weren’t so serious.

Michigan state senator Pat Colbeck is the Michigan campaign chair for Ted Cruz and I’m starting to think he would be a great education secretary. He’s leading the charge in Michigan to turn “social studies” back into civics starting with replacing the repeated use of the word “democracy” with “Constitutional Republic”. Basically he wants to stop teaching children that they need to change a system when they don’t even know the facts of the system.

A list of some of his proposed changes can be found here. Its some good stuff.

Pat Colbeck is also a leader on killing Obamacare and replacing it with a free market system.

Because we have not yet elected President Cruz. Once President Cruz is sworn in then the swamp will start to drain.

You should have stopped there, you ended up with two words too many.
