Marijuana Mogul? Here's Why Nick Lachey May Make Millions If Weed Becomes Legal in Ohio

Nick Lachey husband, father, singer, TV host...and potential marijuana kingpin. Yep, you read that right.

The former 98 Degrees boy band member could become one of the largest pot growers in Ohio, if the state votes to legalize marijuana on Tuesday. How so, you ask? Well, according to the Washington Post, the measure indicates that if the Buckeye State becomes green-friendly, it would restrict virtually all large-scale marijuana cultivation to 10 specifically designated farms.

And whaddya know? Nick Lachey part owner of one of those farms, along with designer Nanette Lepore, NBA legend Oscar Robertson, NFL journeyman Frostee Rucker.

Each group reportedly contributed $4 million to the legalization campaign it will cost another $10 million each to get their pot farms set up. Once that happens and the business is a go, these 10 farms would be the only ones legally able to service around 1,100 state-sponsored pot dispensaries.

And while all those millions seem like a lot of money (because, well, it is), it's actually nothing compared to what these 10 farms could rake in once in business. According to Fox, one study estimates the 10 farms could sell over $1 billion in marijuana every year. BILLION.

When asked about the initiative, Lachey's rep gave E! News the following statement: "Ohio is my home, and as a resident and local business owner I am proud to be part of a movement that has the potential to create jobs, reinvigorate the local economy and improve the safety of our communities," Lachey said. "Passage of this proposal will result in much-needed economic development opportunities across Ohio, and update the state's position on marijuana in a smart and safe way."

Guess we'll see what happens on Tuesday

This dude, Democrat/Statist whore whose wife is a RINO, would probably be one of the biggest marijuana "kingpins" in Florida when it becomes legalized. Morgan was probably hoping for the medical route $ub$idie$ but will probably be content for outright legalization.

“Dispensaries.” What a ridiculous name. What’s wrong with the classical “Pusher Man”? How quaint was Steppenwolf with “God Damn the Pusher Man.”

Sports players and I assume a 98 degrees boy is a queer singer or something, get to make billions legally, but if Joe average grows some weeds he goes to jail. Pot smokers are foolish (but I repeat myself) if they settle for and pass this.

Original vision -- Government exists to make sure that no one coerces you or inhibits your God-given rights.

Current vision -- Government coerces you and inhibits your rights so that special people can get a sweet deal.

That’s about pushers, man. From the song ...

You know the dealer, the dealer is a man
With the love grass in his hand
Oh but the pusher is a monster

So the Buckeyes aren't really considering "legalizing" it. Trailer Park Boys photo: untitled.jpg They're going to make creeps like Rick here and Nick Lachey rich, and it remains illegal for you to grow pot.

It sounds just like the restrictions made on who can and can’t grow tobacco.

Disclaimer- I don’t smoke marijuana. I tried it in college and got more of a high from Benadryl than Mj, although I do hear that the stuff they sell nowadays is more potent.
I think that smoking MJ is sort of a right of passage for most people. The problem is the kids who get caught with it by the police get their lives ruined over something that the last 3 presidents have smoked.
The police and law enforcement are making money off Mj being illegal, because it provides jobs and cushy pensions. It is time to make it legal, and have the police resources go after something that is much more a threat- meth.

I was asked to go into business of medical MJ in Maryland. The initial investment is 250K.........still thinking about it. I am just not sure. Of course life is a risk but 250K is a lot of money. I have it but it is still tough to let it go. Still mulling it over. I bet those who turned down Apple back in the day are kicking themselves today still.
