Exactly. I’ve spent so much time looking at the Federal Government, I had not even considered the states, so I cannot address it at all. Thanks for pointing me in that direction, though.
(I am more concerned/ focused on the abolition of our social traditions- one by one. To me, RegulatorCountry, that IS a case of “making laws regarding an establishment of religion”- only in reverse. Yes, it’s the SCOTUS & not the Congress, but they aren’t supposed to write laws at all.
Rather than upholding the ‘Hands Off religion’ cited in the First Amendment, it is a violation of individual citizen’s rights to remove prayer from schools, the Ten Commandments from court houses, Nativities from City Hall, etc. I am Not Pleased to learn that Good Friday has been removed from the standard holidays in the insurance industry.)
At the same time, we’re about to have a mess on our hands when our [imported] muslim population wants to start putting up minarets & yodeling out their “call to prayer” X number of times a day. Did the founding fathers take Sharia Law into consideration when they wrote the Constitution? I don’t really think so. But that is what religion dictated by a government looks like- or winds up as. Slippery slope. Power inevitably becomes corrupt & overbearing. Always.
It’s such a simple concept that I’m amazed no one ever thought of it before. I know many who have to travel an hour one way to a VA Hospital too. It’s very hard on them and their families - not to mention sitting, waiting all day to hopefully see a doctor.
Donald Trump has the potential to get a bandwagon effect going (he already has one now) which, in the general election, could increase in strength each week. The key to his success in campaigning thus far is his self-confidence and sure and sincere belief that he can do what he says he’ll do. His record says that he can. And that rubs off on people.
My experience with doctors is the same as car mechanics. They are not so great in quickly reaching the correct diagnosis. If you point them in the right direction, they are both pretty good in curing the problem.
Our bodies give us a ton of clues. We must learn to pay attention. For example they say diabetes is a silent disease. Not quite. There are lot of subtle signs if we are paying attention. Problem is many people ignore the signs until the disease has reached advanced stage. Itchy skin, small cuts which do not heal quickly, warm feet, constant thirst, trouble with night vision, could be signs of early stage diabetes.
