Islamic State claim 'not accurate' - Russia

Russia’s transport minister Maksim Sokolov has said that the claim Islamic State militants brought down the plane “can’t be considered accurate”.

Shadi Bushra, reporting for the Guardian in Cairo, has also spoken to Mohamed Samir, Egypt’s army spokesman, who also refuted the claim.

They can put out whatever statements they want but there is no proof at this point that terrorists were responsible for this plane crash.

We will know the true reasons when the civil aviation authority in coordination with Russian authorities completes its investigation.

But the army sees no authenticity to their claims or their video.

LATEST UPDATE...

Russian aviation regulator Rosaviatsia said it has not yet found any reason to blame the crash of the Russian airliner in Egypt on a technical failure, an error by the crew or external actions, RIA Novosti reports

Until there is reliable evidence about the circumstances of what happened, there is no sense in putting forward and discussing any versions.

I agree. I stated it was poor maintenance on the first thread where ISIS CLAIMED they did it.

I have no sense.

Ergo, It was due to poor maintenance. We will eventually find out that the engine fell off, or something similar.

So ISIS is lying?

Possibly. Downing a Russian airliner would be good for recruitment efforts.

.

Free Republic's "Wrench" has CORRECTLY identified the aircraft shown in the ISIS video to

NOT be the Russian aircraft that ISIS alleges that it has shot down over Egypt.

The Youtube video that ISIS has published is apparently a FAKE.

Sounds like someone we need to head the FAA. And I am not being sarcastic.

I wouldn’t be shocked if one or more of the passengers had some ‘dirt’ on Putin. KGB/FSB Putin has a long history of silencing his opponents.

Bomb inside, shot down, whatever - Russia is the enemy of the Islamists, so watch your tail feathers.

“Poor maintenance by the Russian owners “

Not owned by Russia. Irish or Scottish owners.

If the plane had mechanical problems, could isis have shot a missile at it as it was descending? It was descending rapidly.

They say the bodies were burned and wreckage spread over three square miles. But it doesn’t say if the bodies were spread out as well, just that they were burned. It does sound like the plane broke up in the air. I suppose a lot of things could cause that. I wouldn’t suspect a bomb since it was a vacation charter, not a scheduled flight.MANPADS reach 10K to 15K feet. So not those either.Unless there are qualified and experienced investigators I suppose speculation will rule.

I wonder if some Democratic Representative from Texas is available to arrange funding to help the ISIS "resistance fighters" get military equipment to shoot down Russian helicopters in Syria?

That would make a great movie!
