I have a Ph.D. in Psychology, with a heavy emphasis on the quantitative side (statistics, design, experimental methods).
I’ve held multiple private sector jobs and, for the last 15 years, I’ve been the Principal of my own consulting company. I also teach at a local college on the side.
Never had a problem getting a job, or a client, because I developed skills that I knew would be in demand. A smart undergraduate can do the same.
Jeb Bush can go piss up a rope and stuff himself, not necessarily in that order.

This Harvard Medical School
graduate psychiatrist is very successful & influential. He is seen by millions almost every day but is well known for a major delusion, that the Washington Nationals will win the World Series.
PS: He has done all of this without actually practicing psychiatry!
