ok time to put Dr. Carson in the middle as the front runner in tomorrow’s debate.. let’s see how he does with the majority of the debate questions rammed at him like Trump had thrown at him.. ask him about his many flip flops just in the last few weeks on subjects... that’s where this phony facade breaks apart.. see how far he rides the number one bucking bronco with ALL the attention on him.. yeah off the cliff

Don’t get me started on rally turnout. Is Justin Bieber gonna be President?

These push polls will be proven wrong again.
I think Carson’s already said he is for ethanol which is the big winner in Iowa.
I see that as a local Iowa issue that most real Conservatives wish will end. Zero ethanol gas is what I want.

All good points and I agree with you about the military and the vets. I don't think even Trump can do much about the VA hospitals. They have been awful from the very beginning. He can't save those institutions. Why not let vets go to any hospital they want? Give them vouchers/pay the bills for them. With the extreme waste in government, it certainly won't cost anymore than it does now.

I like your point about his character. I don't think that is something people think of him as having character since he is full of bluster and comes across as saying anything that may pop into his head. I think you are correct about that. I think he has more character than a superficial glance reveals. My concern is not that he will not build a wall, but legal immigration will be allowed to grow from a current 1 million a year to much much more. All that will do is give us the current situation. Chain immigration must be cut back, but I don't think anyone can even approach that topic until the illegal immigration is under control.

At first, Trump's style was a put off for me, but it has grown on me. His speech is distinct and non politician and he has said publicly that part of his popularity is that he does not talk like a politician, so he is self aware.

I think he is a smart guy and is much more sophisticated than he appears to be. I like the fact he gives his money to people and institutions and he rarely talks about it.

Agreed. The only useful meat in the entire NR article is showing Carson's favorable ratings are, by far, the best at 84%.

Of course, this doesn't guarantee a win, but it should guarantee Dr. Carson a prominent spotlight at the convention and afterward.

I'm not convinced that the GOPe loves him. They just see him as an easier take-down or someone easier to "guide" with their agenda.

That is incorrect. His poll bounce started with him declaring he did not want a muslim as president. Ever since then, he has been in the news quite a lot.

Trump’s # is 35.6 .. NATIONALLY.

Please, don’t base Trump’s lead by just Iowa.
Trump is waaaaa ahead in NH and somewhere else.
Just don’t pay attention to the MSM .. they’re going to be burying Trump any moment now .. so please, please don’t listen .. they just can’t believe Trump could win this, and they’re going to try to do everything they can to keep him from winning.

PLEASE DON’T BUY IT ..!!!!

Sorry, but what is YEC .. can’t figure it out.

And, I like your suggestion of Surgeon General, but I have been wondering how good he would be as head of the VA. I know he doesn’t have any military experience; but I think his medical experience is more important.

The medical treatment for our military is abysmal .. and I bet Carson could shape that group up, or they would get shipped out. His medical skill would serve him well, and garner him huge support from our warriors.

RE:”Don’t get me started on rally turnout. Is Justin Bieber gonna be President?”

Recall that Rush told his audience that the polls must be all fixed because Romney/Ryan rally turnout was so high, that everything points to a Romney landslide.

Those rallies were in in Ohio too.

Karl Rove had an on-air hissy fit when Kelly announced that Obama won Ohio (2012)late that night.

Rove and Dick Morris kept saying that Romney was a sure win.

Better yet after the election Rush and Levin said Romney lost because GOP turnout was low, we all stayed home.

I am smell GOPE BS with these polls. I don’t for a second think they support Carson, but if they can use Carson to take out Trump they will gladly do so, Carson doesn’t have the resources Trump has and would be easy to target once Trump is out of the way.

My question is what happens if the next set of polls show Trump is surging, then what’s cabal that is the Republican wing of the Uniparty to do???

Of course no mention of the OAN/Gravis poll with a 2600 person sample of registered and likely voters out today. It puts Trump at 34.7% and Carson at 17.2% a much more likely scenario and in line with Reuters and Morning Consult.

IMO this is the GOPe’s last frantic effort to kill Trump before the primaries start. Once the holidays hit people don’t pay as much attention to politics until after New Years. By then the Iowa Caucus will only be a month away and it will be too late.

I’m also thinking that they wanted this flurry of polls to use as ammo in the debate tomorrow evening.

35.6% for Trump plus 22% for Carson plus 7% for Cruz = 65% of voters who don't like the GOPe minus a fraction of a percent. That's the big news here.

Although it is probably closer to 70% once you add in the also-rans such as Santorum, Jindal and the 2/3rds or so of Huckabee voters who THINK he is a conservative.

“Polling is a science. “

BS. If polling was so scientific then why are all the polls coming up with different numbers and they rarely predict the winners??

It is political science, not math, subject to manipulation by those paying for the polls.

If robo-calls are no good, then why was I called often during the election here in Louisiana.

They were strictly, “press 1 if you are likely to vote”, “press one if your are (party), “press one if you will vote for so-and-so, press 2 if”, also age, sex, race.

Didn’t take very long, and probably the most reliable since it was completely impersonal. No leading questions of any kind, just a tally of preferences and a little demographics.
