We, as voters, have got to vote these people out of office when they come up for re-election...
All the work we are doing to rid this Country of this disease is not going to work keeping these pond scums in office, they are only there for the power and money...they work for us, remember, not the other way around...
Vote for the new person on the block, fresh blood and ideas and send these blood suckers packing....
Two “establishment principles” alluded to in this article, that are part of the problem w/congress as I see it.
1) “ a motion that lets rank-and file members attempt to depose the speaker “
2) “If you want to talk about something within the committee, thats great, but if youre going to go out to your district and say those things, I think thats wrong”
1) All members of congress are there by getting voted in. They are supposed to have equal voting power. However, congress is structured through it’s own rules attempt to flout this.
Congress is constitutionally allowed to make its own rules, but I think there should be a law that those rules must be constitutional. E.g., by providing smaller budgets to members with more time in, newer members effectively have less voting power because they are less able to effect change.
If this is accomplished by the force of their personality, so be it, but I do not want to see my congressman at a institutional disadvantage just because they are new. Just like the people are to have equal rights under the law, my congressman should have equal power under the rules.
The way it is now is EXACTLY why when you vote in an upstart, nothing happens!
2) When a congressman can’t get something through, they should by all means point out to the public exactly who is in the way and what they do to get in the way.
If, let’s say, I vote someone in to repeal commie care, and that doesn’t happen, I’d want to know why. With commie care, it’s obvious, but other things not so.
Perpetuating secrecy in this regard prevents congressmen who are lying to their constituents to be called out by other members.
Important info to know, especially when something important is up and you want to call to make your views known. You can call the office of the one who’s blocking whatever you happen to be interested in so they suffer the consequences of their behavior. A needed element in a supposed democracy.
So house and senate leadership is caving to Obama over debt ceiling and funding through 2017
Ah, the good 'ol days...
Rino Promises. They’re worth SO much!
“Ryan went to Huelskamp and said, Ok, you dont like this budget, fine, what can I do to get you [involved in the process]? And Huelskamp replied, Thats not my job, says a former House GOP aide familiar with that years budget process.”
I would trust Huelskamp’s word over Lyin’ Ryan’s any day of the week.
He got rolled by super genius Patty Murray... He’s weaksauce...
Oh I dunno. I actually think he’s worse.
He's got it all wrong. His job is to be the HEAD DISSENTER against destructive RAT policies and White House overreaches. If he can't or won't do that, he's useless to us.
DON’T FALL FOR THIS!!
NO confidence in ya there Paul,
You are John (kiss the magic negro’s ring)Boehner lite pal.
