“Recent videos exposing the abortion-for-baby parts business have shocked the nation, and demanded action. At my request, three House committees have been investigating the abortion business, but we still don’t have the full truth,” Mr. Boehner said.

The new committee will have the resources and subpoena power to “get to the bottom of these horrific practices, and build on our work to protect the sanctity of all human life,” Mr. Boehner said.

The following Republican representatives will make up the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s new investigative panel:

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, Chairman (R-TN), Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN)Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), Rep. Vicki Hartzler (R-MO), and Rep. Mia Love (R-UT).

The GOP-E loves abortion as much as the Democrats.

This is going nowhere.

You seriously believe this will go anywhere? I would rather they actually did something that matters. This is nothing more that window dressing.

Pretty juvenile response. I don’t recall me saying that. If you want to get excited about this kabuki theater, have at it.

I tried to avoid putting words in your mouth, but evidently I failed. So I ask you, should Congress investigate Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices?

How much ‘evidence’ do they need to defund Planned Parenthood?

The revolving door continues...
Congress finances Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood financial Congressional campaigns, 80% of it coming from abortions.

“So I ask you, should Congress investigate Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices?”

Sure.

As long as they actually DO something with the findings.

Which we both know will never happen.

So why waste the money?

1). To give the dims a ‘persecuted me’ talking point and

2). So they can tell conservatives ‘See we did something, you’re unreasonable! to expect anything to happen’

They can hold whatever hearings, or probes they like. I won’t pretend they are anything more than cynical attempts to keep some low information voters on the plantation. Last month 87 House Republicans, and 27 Senate Republicans voted to fully fund that abortion mill, Planned Parenthood. Now I am supposed to sing their praises because they are starting another probe, this time into Planned Parenthood? Can you point to a single probe, or hearing the Republicans have led since Obama took office that accomplished anything?

The Republicans had a golden opportunity to get out front and sway public Opinion when the undercover videos started to leak out, but they sat on their hands. I will be gracious and assume they were hoping public opinion would do their job for them, but you can’t rule out the possibility they don’t want to stop abortions, and lose money from big money donors that support abortion. These hearings are a joke.

What’s to investigate? They’re self-admitted mass murderers.

“Recent videos exposing the abortion-for-baby parts business have shocked the nation, and demanded action. At my request, three House committees have been investigating the abortion business, but we still don’t have the full truth,” Mr. Boehner said.

And when they go after a serial killer with intent to stop him with the most extreme prejudice, they don't always know the full truth either. Just the fact of a number of murders is sufficient and the fact that there may have been more isn't germane to stopping the guy - neither is any "good aspect" of what he may have done.
