It seems like Trump is playing chess while the others are playing Mystery Date.

He was, but I was laughing with him, not at him.

I liken Trump to a political Columbo. Make them all think you’re a goofball and then make them smack themselves down.

Only exception to that is Ted Cruz, who has positioned himself to be the white knight poised at the edge of the battle
Only in his mind.
If he doesn't have to drop out before hand Cruz's day will be coming.
I think winning (meaningless) straw polls has Cruz a little full of himself...He'll cross the Trump line real soon. My guess is he'll have to.

He'll cross the Trump line real soon. My guess is he'll have to.Unless he's angling for a position in a Trump admin.
You can be sure that Jeb, Jindal, Walker, Graham, and Perry won't be offered a job.

More likely Wharton...

Is the timing key? The 911 comments came soon after Jeb got caught with that plant asking a rude question at a NH Trump rally. That’s just not fair play. Did Mr. Trump decide not just to take down Jeb, but the whole dynasty?

It's funny how Trump uses a winning strategy while responding off the cuff. Surely he can't have thought all this through in advance. A master deal-maker learns to do his homework, so as to be fully prepared ahead of time for all eventualities. He seizes opportunities as they arrive.

It’s exactly what he’s doing. People that think that Trump is a buffoon...or a clown...or making it up as he goes along...or speaking off the cuff...are completely ignorant of Trump and his background. Does anyone seriously think Trump doesn’t have a strategy or done his homework for the biggest deal he’s ever going to make in his life? Nothing is accidental. Nothing is random. He’s not just lucking into his top spot in all the polls.

Go find the chess game sequence from the James Bond movie, “From Russia With Love”. Perfect illustration.
