With little luck in his quest for the Democratic presidential nomination so far, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb is considering an independent bid in 2016, his campaign said Monday.

A press release entitled, "Jim Webb To Consider Independent Run" said the candidate will hold a press conference Tuesday "to discuss his candidacy, the campaign and his views of the political parties in the current election cycle."

I like Jim Webb’s views on the growing threat of China but other than that I don’t see anything else that I agree with.

*holds head* I’m getting a headache here. Let me see if I understand this correctly: The independent senator is running for the Democrat nomination, but the Democrat governor is going to run as an independent? Donald Trump has to sign loyalty oaths, yet others don’t even have to be part of the party they are running for? And those who are part of the party they are running for are thinking of running independent?

Yep, definitely a night for wine.

Wine, hell. I'm heading for the tequila. The hallucinations have already started just looking at the candidates.

Yep, definitely a night for wine.

You think about wine and an independent run for some two-bit party-surfing Democrat while the souls of a million aborted babies cry out for justice?

Ralph Nader is too old and unwell for a full year of campaigning. I think he has some form of Parkinson’s.
In addition, most people under what? 45 have never heard of him and his consumer protection efforts.

I wonder if he’ll try to find some unsuccessful RINO for a running mate.

He sure doesn’t fit in with the Dems

He is a Scoop Jackson democrat

Google it kids....back when we had decent Democrats

I know younger Beck and Levin and Hannity GOP trained like it simple without nuance

But I hate to break it to ya

Look which states supported Goldwater for starters

And which members of both parties voted against 1965 immigration giveaway and all the civil rights redress

Then argue with me

Don’t make me study for you

That’s not a good thing.

I watched the debate. Would vote for him myself because you could tell any lib answers he did give were forced and painful.

He has many conservative views and won’t steal one vote away from dems. Could take 3 or 4 from independents waning a more moderate version of conservative.

I watched the debate. I thought there were a number of things I agreed with. And the ones i didn’t looked painfully and obviously forced.

his running independent wont help us. It will hurt us. Even if just very slightly.
