Trump did not say anything that was not true. 9/11 happened on Bush’s watch. The 9/11 commission said there were things that could have been done to prevent it. Trump outlined a couple of things in his plans that would have prevented it. If we are going to be honest, we need to be honest about everyone, even if he is a Bush.

It will be interesting to see how much JEB! is able to raise off of his brother’s Presidency.

If you read the rest of the article, Bush was too focused on Saddam Hussein, and thought of Bin Laden as some "two-bit crook." He thought Condi Rice didn't even know about Osama bin Laden. That would be an epic fail for a National Security adviser to the president.

More of it here and link above.

- - -

W Bush - "To be honest with you Oprah, Bin Laden wasn't really on my radar," he explained. "I was so focused on Saddam Hussein that I couldn't see anything else. My CIA guys would come in and say 'Bin Laden's prepping an attack,' 'Bin Laden's prepping an attack,' and I was pretty much like 'Whatever. What do you got on Saddam?'

"There was a general lack of awareness. I'm pretty sure Condi Rice didn't even known who Bin Laden was. I had heard of him, but he sounded like more of a two-bit criminal to me so I didn't take him seriously. And that malunderestimation (sic) really cost us as a nation."

I have many problems with George Bush, and would probably like Jeb as president even less, BUT IT WAS BELOW THE BELT FOR TRUMP to criticize W for 9/11. We got sucker punched, and W DID keep us safe after that horrible attack.

George W. Bush - "You know Bill Clinton made a lot of mistakes on Bin Laden, and I think he should apologize too. But I was at the wheel. It happened on my watch. I was warned. I didn't listen. And I am sorry. I really am. I could have done more to prevent these tragedies."

This deserves repeating.

Thanks for posting.

Btw, Jed stepped in it big league and started a war which will get him pummeled even worse. Trump needs to launch on this Bush dynasty, but good. Blow this guy off the stage while the whole world watches!

***********************************************

Tell that to the families of all those killed by illegal alien drunk drivers and murderers. GWB REDUCED border and interior enforecment AFTER 9/11. Inexcusable.

I suggest you get on your bicycle and send the failing Bush campaign some donations Jedi.

Be like government and just print some of these up and send them in ASAP.

I don’t agree with W about borders, but as far as keeping us safe from Isamic militant jihad, W did a good job.

btw, BOTH Donald Trump and Jeb Bush are at the bottom of my list. Trump is telling me more of what I want to hear, but I just don’t trust him.

Well I'll be... just have to settle for this apology to the nation from the former Counter-Terrorism Chief.

- - - - -

" The former counterterrorism chief in the Bush and Clinton White Houses apologized Wednesday to the families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying, “Your government failed you.” But he placed the bulk of the blame on President Bush, accusing his administration of not making terrorism “an urgent issue.” "

and

“It was possible to make a very persuasive case that this was a major threat and this was an urgent problem,” Clarke said. But the Bush team “didn’t either believe me that there was an urgent problem or was unprepared to act as though there were an urgent problem.”

‘Probably I should get another job’

“I thought, if the administration doesn’t believe its national coordinator for counterterrorism when he says there’s an urgent problem and if it’s unprepared to act as though there’s an urgent problem, then probably I should get another job.” ...Clarke has alleged that Bush’s national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, appeared not to even have heard of al-Qaida, ...

911 occurred on Bush's watch. You'll have to deal with that fact or try to find someone else to blame. Maybe do like Obama does, and blame the previous guy or maybe Trump.

Your 1st sentence is just what Trump said.

Do you agree with everything he says?

How about at the debate when Bret Baier asked him why Trump was for single payer in 2000. Trump said:

“As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland.”

Now Dragnet2 may be for single payer, because everything Trump says is right. Trump is infallible. lol

btw, I believe W also said 9/11 happened on his watch.

HOWEVER, with Trump saying it, it makes it sound as if W caused it, and THAT is what Hillary would do.

Is Trump a Dem? If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it’s a duck. Trump talks like a lib Dem, and walks and talks like one.

Do you think I’m supporting Jeb Bush?

No way, but I’m not supporting Donald Trump, who plays dirty politics either. Jeb Bush and Donald Trump are both inferior candidates.
