North Korea reportedly willing to sign peace treaty with US to end conflict

North Korea reportedly rejected the idea of resuming talks to abandon its nuclear program on Saturday, but said it would welcome negotiations for a peace treaty with Washington.

North Korea’s foreign ministry made the statement one day after President Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye said they were ready to open talks with Pyongyang on sanctions if they were serious about dissolving its nuclear program, according to Reuters.

“If the United States insists on taking a different path, the Korean peninsula will only see our unlimited nuclear deterrent being strengthened further,” the North said in a statement.

North and South Korea are still technically at war after signing a truce 1953 to temporarily end their conflict. The U.S. also signed the deal after backing the South.

"they are not as stupid as we thought maybe... they want the same deal mobama gave Iran"

Is that the deal where we pay them to develop the thing we don't want them to have?

Is that the one where Iran rewrote the agreement and agreed to the one that they rewrote and Kerry has not made a sound about it. That one?

Yeah, Obucketopuke would probably go for that as long as the Norks agreed to aim the ICBMs at America.

All would be good with Obucketoshiite.

Affirmative sir. We pay therm to develop nuclear weapons. Whenever the Norks want to negotiate, I always wonder how much money do they want?

B.S.

This just means that North Korea has observed President Ovomit’s policies and leadership (don't laugh) and has decided to screw him over just like every other leader in the world today. Now it's there turn to _____ the President and America.

Why Fox News takes their language of Peace Treaty which only means giving them financial aid?

So Kim wants a couple of billions too. Watch him declare that the Norks are nuke free. He’ll self-inspect and send the report to Hand Bris. After payment is made, he’ll reveal he sold them to Assad.

Actually, I could see China, the US and South Korea standing up and saying ‘fine’....peace treaty it will be. Then North Korea will say there’s 7,000 lines of text....and the three on the table will likely say ‘fine’, and shock the NK crowd entirely.

I think if you set Kim, his relatives and the top hundred NK players up with a private estate and appropriate funding (10 billion a year until their passing)...they’d all readily buy into the deal and peace would occur.

Naturally, business-wise....Japan would be in a world of hurt within ten years. And Korea would be blasting away on the world economy.

They’ve been waiting for just the right idiot president to do this. They probably thought Carter was the right idiot but realized he had too much respect for the Constitution to do it by Executive Order. Now they look at Comrade Obama and know they can get whatever they want. They also know Trump is the next president so that will put it off for another eight years at least.

Hey, if Iran got $150 billion out of the deal with Obama, why shouldn’t the Norks? They were there first!
