603 Alliance Caucus Cruz, Carson and Fiorina 1-2-3 Trump falters Bush & Co shut out
Da Tech Guy Blog ^ | October 17th, 2015 | Datechguy

Posted on 10/17/2015 1:36:39 PM PDT by Isara

The 603 alliance had their caucus today at the Hopkinton State Fair grounds in Contoocook NH. The idea was to get conservatives in NH to unite behind a single candidate via a caucus.

Ted Cruz has won, Ben Carson came in 2nd Carly Fiorina 3rd. Donald Trump failed to make the first cut not managing 25 votes, Jeb bush didn’t manage a single vote.

Under the rules if the winner of the 603 alliance caucus drops out of the presidential race the people pledge to support the 2nd place finisher and so forth.

Expect updates

Update 1

I arrived at the event at 10:30 AM one hour before registration was to end. The person directing me to park commented on the number of people who had showed up and expressed worry about finding places for all of them.

Any voter who was in line at 11:30 would be checked in as long as they met the following requirements

1. They were a Registered republican voter in NH.

2. They were a registered unenrolled NH voter who pledged that they had not taken a democrat ballot

3. They had a photo ID.

Ted Cruz showed up in person to greet people before the start of the event

It was very apparent that his people were there in force and read and raring to go. Ben Carson’s people were also well represented:

I hand counted 718 people. at my arrival and it was very clear that some candidates took this very seriously and others did not.

A view of the location where the 603 alliance caucus took place (video)

and the vote would come down to who bothered to show

quick analysis before thing start at the 603 alliance caucus (video)

Under the rules of the Caucus any candidate who failed to get at least 25 votes in the first round would be eliminated. From the looks of things early it seemed it would be a Cruz vs Carson race

Ted Cruz showed up in person to make his case, speakers showed up to speak for Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Donald Trump and Carly fiorina. Oddly enough while Rand Paul had two events in the area his people did not show up for the caucus.

Expect another update

Cruz is the best we have; but will the American people see that?

If the frontrunner wasn’t in it, this was a waste. Don’t tell me Carson is a conservative. he just registered GOP last year. LOL

It was very apparent that his people were there in force and read and raring to go.

From what I've seen on twitter, a lot of "his people" were former Paul people who went looking for greener pastures.

Dr. Carson’s stand on immigration and gun control shows he is not conservative. I do like his rejection of PC and several of his positions.

The fact they would even consider Snarly discredits this.

Cruz is the best we have; but will the American people see that?

If we nominate him, he will sell them.

Only if they look, but to do that they would have to take theirs off Trumps shoes.

And here you are again, dismissing Cruz.

Go away. Go back to KOS or DU. This site is for conservatives, eager to see our nation thrive under constitutional principles. Cruz is the best candidate, our best hope for prosperity.

Supporting conservatism and principle is never “foolish.”

Those who give up so easily, people like you, are the foolish ones. The cowardly ones.

Not buying it...

You’ve got Cruz in the green on ‘free trade’ when he’s agreeing with the One World Gov’t trade plan while Trump is in the yellow while he supports pro America FAIR trade...

And then you’ve got Cruz in the green on the second amendment while Trump is in the yellow...The others I didn’t bother with...

With the effort he’s shown he’s willing to make, Cruz can win.

Assuming who can win in a static model 13 months before the election is foolish. Thats the kind of thinking that got us McQueeg & Willard.

Its the kind of thinking Yeb was counting on six months ago.

Don’t tell me Carson is a conservative. he just registered GOP last year. LOL

He was registered with the Florida Independence Party. Their platform isn't particularly liberal, kind of a good government type of operation. Just the fact that he registered with a third party (and NOT the Dems) tells me he thinks seriously on this stuff.

Todd Palin's a conservative, and was even when he was registered with the Alaska Independence Party (or whatever it was called).
