Women in a new Marine Corps unit created to assess how female service members perform in combat were injured twice as often as men, less accurate with infantry weapons and not as good at removing wounded troops from the battlefield, according to the results of a long-awaited study produced by the service.
The research was carried out by the service in a nine-month long experiment at both Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Twentynine Palms, Calif. About 400 Marines, including 100 women, volunteered to join the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, the unit the Marine Corps created to compare how men and women do in a combat environment.

Well, clearly they are officer material.
I may not agree with the military issues with women, but I’ll have to contest the shooting accuracy. My wife and daughter are damn good both on the bench and free standing handgun. they generally hold better groups than I do, as much as I can’t stand to admit to it
AND what will their stamina be for long hauls? What about preggers?? When is it time to stop fighting?
I’ve noticed the same thing. Girls seem to be completely equal in shooting ability.
My Daughter and my Mother and Sisters were all excellent shots.
Now most girls just don’t do enough shooting to get good but given the training they can be excellent at least with normal and low recoiling guns.
Now as for passing Ranger training, I would bet the mortgage money that it was fixed.
All the other services have knuckled under to the political correct politicians but not the marine corp.

That is great and my husband and I target practice regularly at home too.
BUT
This is where they mess with God and our roles as men and women. I am not physically able to do what our Cream of the Crop of the military do. Sure, there maybe women who pass tests but in battle women are too vulnerable.
This women's lib thing is going to backfire on the lot of them. It pisses me off. There mabye exceptions but the results are already clear.
Women generally have better fine motor control. So they are generally firing from a prone or a bench.
They generally lack the upper body strength to handle the heavier military weapons from a standing or unsupported position.
Different kind of shooting than stationary target. Cmon you know better.

Casual target shooting is not the same thing. Cmon people. Of course if you are not under stress or being eval’d everyone does better.
Butbutbut all the military science fiction I read said that women were better shots than men and could beat up all the guys!
