For some reason, I was thinking Hilly’s testimony was private as well. I double-checked myself & it’s not, so I’m mistaken and unfortunately, that means there will be nothing but grandstanding on her/Dems part & in that case, I don’t see what, if anything, will be accomplished. Her lips will be moving, but she won’t answer a single question. Elijah Cummings will be totally insufferable.
I still think they should have four LARGE pictures of those killed in Benghazi sitting up against the dais where the Committee sits, facing Hilly as she testifies. When she starts grandstanding, Gowdy can refer her back to the pictures as to why they are there. This would never happen .... but I get some small satisfaction just thinking about it.
The standard pay-off for behavior like this is: run unopposed by democrats, and heavily funded by the (r) party in the primary.

No Gowdy was shooting to drag this out into campaign season. He’s all hat and no cattle. Unfortunately, the Dems are right here and this is kabuki. The GOP don’t intend to do a darn thing about Benghazi because that would require directly engaging the kenyan. That is something they simply won’t do, sorry.
Gowdy’s a good man... and he’s shown us we need to vote a lot of Republicans out of office. It’s not just democrats who are liars and thugs... we have some in our own ranks.

The committee can’t indict. They give the evidence to the Justice Dept. for consideration of indictment.
However, the FBI started their own investigation. Now, today, Biden says he will soon announce whether he is running for president or not. I think it will happen this way:
Biden will be privy to know if the FBI is going to indict Hillary, either right now or later, but he will know (either FBI tells him or tells Obama and Obama tells him). If they ARE going to indict, Biden will run for president and he WILL become the candidate. If they are NOT going to indict, he won’t run.
Reminds me of Boehner saying: “If it’s good enough for Hawaii, It’s good enough for ME” !!!
Gowdy does not have the power to indict. It’s up to Loretta Lynch. Or, it’s up to Boehner to appoint a special prosecuter. Actually, maybe it is Obama who must apppoint the SP. The FBI could request it. Maybe the FBI can indict.
But, Gowdy does not have that power.
Indictments are a function of the executive branch. Obama's bitch, Loretta Lynch, is in charge of federal indictments.
There won't be a federal indictment unless Loretta (in consultation with the FBI, obviously) ever so reluctantly decides there should be, whereupon her boss, expressing regret, will anoint his VP as his mini-me to be the next President.
