If Hispanics identify as American, not as Hispanic, Latino or some other hyphenated foreign mish-mash they might might think of what is best for America and for themselves and it might be worth the time to seek their votes.

If they primarily identify as Hispanic, Latino or some other hyphenated foreign mish-mash they aren't American at heart and don't deseve the vote.

This is one thing that Teddy Roosevelt got right:

Republicans have got to stop believing The New York Times line that the only honorable votes are from minorities. It's honorable to get votes from taxpayers, too."

Republicans also need to learn that their abject pandering to Hispanics (i.e. support for amnesty and open borders) doesn't really win them very many new voters, since Hispanics can already get these things from the Democrats. What it does do is alienate millions of people who now vote GOP and want something done about illegal immigration.

It's not for nothing they call the GOP the stupid party, with a strategy of alienating people who already vote for you with the hope of attracting people who probably won't vote for you.

Guess Ann missed some of Trump’s latest state polls, where he’s getting 30+% of Hispanics.

“Hillary Clinton attacked Sanders for having voted against an insane bill that would have held gun manufacturers and sellers legally liable for the behavior of anyone who uses one of their guns in a crime.”

Which is something the Supreme Court has already ruled against! So, even if they passed a bill, it’s void right out of the gate.

Except a judge in Wisconsin just ruled the reverse and fined a gun shop big bucks for basically that same charge.

He’ll be reversed when it gets to the higher courts.

"We just have to protect Americans first -- American jobs, American taxes and American social programs being bankrupted by immigrants . Most voters don't think it's an outrageous imposition to ask people to obey our laws."

Yes, but even Ann misses the most essential point. We have also to protect & preserve the cultural & ethnic heritage of the Founding Fathers. This is not in disparagement of any people, here or abroad. My family were still in Europe at the time the Constitution was adopted by the ratification of the 13 new Nations recognized by the 1783 Treaty Of Paris. But when we take the oath of fidelity to that Constitution, its purpose applies to us as to all others. The Preamble is quite explicit, and it states as a basic purpose, preserving the Blessings of Liberty to the posterity--that is the lineal descendants--of the Founders.

It is not only a fair requirement on those of us who have so greatly benefited from the Founders' achievements; to suggest otherwise is an outrageous assault on our honor & integrity.

When craven politicians argue that heritage and lines of descent do not matter--an argument that insults the historic achievement of all peoples, listeners would do well to cry out "Shame," "Shame." Unfortunately, most of us have been carefully conditioned, by what is absurdly labelled, "Politically Correct," to act as though the betrayers' words are some how a reasoned argument. (They are no better reasoned than the behavior of the Robots on parade before the Kremlin in the days of Stalin; no more reasoned than Seig Heiling a Fuehrer in the Nuremberg stadium.)

Rinos help push the uni-party lie that the GOP must be liberal to appeal to the “important” race voters because American-Americans don’t go for the uni-party’s agenda - global socialism so they don’t want the majority vote of their own GOP.

They also don’t care if their power is limited to a minority with the Dems in the White House and the majority in Congress as long as Rinos get to keep their jobs as the Congressional minority of the Uni-party. They would rather have a Dem in the White House than a conservative Republican in the White House if they can’t have a Rino and they can’t the GOP voters won’t elect a Rino.

For the most part the GOP should worry about minorities around the time democrats start courting the NRA vote...

If anyone knows any Mexicans, they are a stubborn bunch if they think they have been disrespected, and no amount of convincing changes their minds.
It starts as children, when on the school ground, they will run up to the monitor and in high dudgeon, proclaim, “He’s looking at me!!!” indicating that someone has offended their sense of self respect. Strange but true.

And since they are enthusiastic clients of Big Government’s Free Stuff and have been told the Republicans will investigate whatever programs they have scammed, the chances for the GOP to convince them otherwise is as low as the chance that the GOP would ever really investigate those give-aways.

As Sanders himself once said, holding gun sellers liable for the crimes of their customers would be like holding "a hammer company responsible if somebody beats somebody over the head with a hammer." (As happened to Lincoln Chafee.)

Why do I get the impression Coulter's not impressed with Chafee?

It is one of the biggest of the "big lies" of the Left, that culture remakes people. The reality is--and always has been--that people make their culture. It is not that there is anything wrong with most of the Hispanic cultures--note the plural. They just are not suitable for people who were raised in various European--or for that matter certain Asian cultures--which reflected the unique qualities of those peoples.

It is actually the much vaunted push for "diversity," for the sake of diversity, that turns countries into cesspools.

Don't get your hopes up for a Hispanic majority for Trump or anyone running as a Republican.

I went through this in the last election with a Jewish friend who is an outspoken Obama hater.
He told me Romney would get the majority Jewish vote.
I said I expected the Jews to give he socialist the majority vote,as they have done in the past.
. He countered with; in his temple not one Jew was going to vote for Obama.
Obama got the majority Jewish vote. -Tom

Talk to them and find out what they think. In my experience discussing this issue with Mexicans is mind boggling. Many will not for any candidate who is against illegal immigration. Why? Because their parents, grandparents or great grandparents were illegals. It’s as simple as THAT.

roughly 80% of Jews voted for Obama. Masochism must be hereditary.

I figure Trump will get 20-25% of the hispanic (legal) vote.

My guess is Hispanic Americans don't like to be murdered or raped either, besides having their jobs taken by illegals.

Good line:

“I have no doubt that the 73 percent of Hispanics who will be voting against Trump are prepared to be much angrier about it than the 73 percent who voted against Romney.”
