Washington County judge who stopped doing weddings to retire (Oregon)

Washington County Circuit Judge Thomas Kohl will retire at the end of the year, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced in a statement Wednesday.

Gov. John Kitzhaber appointed Kohl, a former city attorney, to the Washington County bench in 1997.

n September, Kohl said he had stopped performing wedding ceremonies as a judge after a federal judge overturned the state's gay marriage ban last year.

"Last summer for personal faith-based reasons, I decided to not perform weddings as a judge," he said.

Since the governor made the announcement, I can only assume he was forced out. The comments following the article show how vile liberal Oregonians are.

The vile may not amount to more than a hill of beans by number but their influence is amplified by the apathy of the rest, who have been hypnotized by talk of “equality,” “nondiscrimination,” and other feelgood jargon bereft of meaning and context.
