A Fox News national poll released Tuesday showed Donald Trump battle Ben Carson for the top spot while Ted Cruz surged to third place.
The poll, conducted between October 10-12 among likely Republican primary voters, had Trump in first place with 24 percent. Carson trailed by one percent at 23 percent, earning him the number two slot.
Cruz surged to third place, scoring 10 percent while Marco Rubio finished in fourth place with nine percent. Jeb Bush, thought to be the clear frontrunner at the beginning of the race, was in fifth place with eight percent of the vote.

Carson has found the formula to popularity. Give the news media the middle finger. Never accept their context.
But he’s saying things today he wasn’t saying a month ago, so I’m not ready to support the guy. A good man, but not presidential material.

People are expecting politicians to be some self contained rock of fixed posture. Real life is aggravatingly dynamic, and what (of earthly affairs) mattered most yesterday may not matter most today and vice versa.
I like Carson. But yes, I'm not sure who is supporting Carson.

The dust will start to settle in about 8 to 10 more weeks in who will start to emerge the clear front runner peaking at just the right time frame.
Carson cannot be trusted in illegal immigration.

If, during the debates, another candidate will challenge Carson on his weak stance on illegal immigration, he will drop like a rock in the polls.

I agree with you I can see why Trump is currently number one, but Carson is a bore.
He is a token they hope to use to divide any black or other voters who would pull the lever got him just because he is black...
