Say what you will about Donald Trump, but one thing is clear… he’s a leader. The American people seem to agree. A new CBS poll shows Trump rates heads and shoulders above all other candidates when it comes to strong leadership qualities. Almost two thirds, 65 percent – of Americans say Trump displays strong leadership. Joe Biden (Joe Biden?) comes in second, but a full ten points behind. Hillary Clinton is close behind at 53 percent, followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 51 percent, Carly Fiorina 44 percent and hippie socialist Bernie Sanders in last place at 39 percent. rump still leads the GOP field with 27 percent, followed by Carson at 21 percent. The rest of the pack is in single digits. Also good news for Trump: Seven in ten GOP primary voters would support Trump if he became the party’s eventual nominee. Finally, 35 percent of likely GOP voters said they think Trump has the best chance of winning the election.

But why does only 35% of likely GOP voters think Trump has the best chance of winning the election? Shouldn't that be HIGHER???
My guess would be that the other 65% KNOW what crooked snakes the GPEe are, and are unsure whether Trump can make it through all the caveats, backstabbing and Obama type impromptu rules changes.
Before this is over, the GOPe will probably look like Rickie Riccardo and Fred Mertz teaching Lucy and Ethel the rules of golf.

Much like “global warming” science, the people providing the numbers are paid to arrive at a pre-determined spot.
I suspect there are many voters who support Trump but are afraid of the attacks they know will come from the politically correct brown shirts.
Maybe they have a “Governor” (on the results as a holder for the Ex Gov of Fla, the Heir apparent now dismounted and muddling about

Carson in the same poll only gets 18% for the best chance of winning.
LoL and Yeb! gets 10%, Rubio 11%, and iCarly Fiorina 7%.
If he’s only 10 points ahead of Joe Biden on the leadership scale, then that’s not really saying much. Trump should be 90 points ahead of Biden who couldn’t find his ass with both hands tied behind his back.

Indeed he probably does have the strongest leadership qualities. However, I’d rather have uniformly sound policy ideas and slightly less strong leadership.

Carly Fiorina has great leadership skills. Why, she lead a top engineering company from world class straight into the ditch, and that wasn’t easy to do!

Hey Colonel we will take a partially flawed Trump over a fully fledged lunatic DemoRat. Other than Cruz and Carson (both of whom wont get a lot of crossovers like Trump) what else do we have?
There’s the rub - policy ideas are just that - ideas - getting them enacted is another thing. However, a strong leader can get them through - of course, obama got his through but only because of shenanigans and a Democratic Congress that passed everything he wanted - and a weak Republican opposition that also passed everything he wanted. Remember, policy ideas are just a blueprint and subject to being tweaked.
Pundits keep commenting on the brashness with which Trump is running his campaign and dealing with competitors. I have suggested that he is running his campaign the same way he runs his businesses. He is a gamesman in the mold of “The Gamesman” written by Michael MacCoby. Dig into that and you will get some insight into the corporate mind of Trump.
Obunghole had uniformly sound policy ideas (according to the voters), this time I really think we should go with proven Leadership Qualities.
One other thing; the President sets the tone and direction of the administration; the wonks (policy experts) come up with ideas to make it so, upon the Presidents approval.

The leader took a wrecking ball to the rules of PC, and became, among other things, the only candidate to tell the truth, via names and faces, of the real Americans murdered and raped by foreign invaders. As opposed to some candidates, who took a soccer ball and teddy bear approach to the problem.
