Israeli artillery targeted Syrian army posts Tuesday after two rockets fired from Syria hit the Israeli side of the Golan Heights, Israel's army said.
"In response to the rocket fire, IDF artillery targeted two military posts of the Syrian Armed Forces in the central Syrian Golan Heights," an army statement said.
Israel had earlier said that two "stray" rockets had hit the area of the Golan Heights it controls, without causing casualties or damage.

The Syrian Army is fully engaged with fighting Islamists in the area including Al Nusra...what reason would they have to shoot a missile at Israel?
Their position may have been overrun and the ISIS scum probably fired the Syrian weapon in Israels direction.
The last thing the Assad forces need now is another front.
Israel has bombed that area before targeting the forces Syrian troops were fighting.
Why would they kill any Russians?
Netanyahu and Putin are coordinating on taking out ISIS -and the pseudo "moderate terrorists" (who behead Christians) aided, abetted and armed by OUR gov't.
What a bizarro world when the former Communist country and Israel join to stop the wholesale genocide of Christians.
Perhaps the rockets just went off course, they mightn’t have deliberately fired them in that direction.
I think people have to be cautious.
