Government Bans Bacon on Federal Prison Menus, Adds Turkey Substitute (Kowtowing to Muslims?)
Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 9, 2015 | Morgan Chalfant

The federal government has removed bacon, pork chops, ham, and all other pig products from the menu at its 122 federal prisons, impacting the nation’s 206,000 federal inmates.

The Washington Post reported that the ban went into effect when the new fiscal year began last week. According to the Bureau of Prisons, the decision was made after surveys revealed that inmates do not like the taste of pork. The bureau runs the country’s federal penitentiaries, which includes providing inmates with three meals per day.

“Why keep pushing food that people don’t want to eat? Pork has been the lowest-rated food by inmates for several years,” Edmond Ross, spokesman for the Bureau of Prisons, said. He added that pork products have also become more expensive.

While federal prisons no longer serve pork, their menus have added an “economically viable” turkey bacon substitute in fiscal year 2016, a result of people becoming “more health conscious,” Ross explained.

"Please! No more tasty REAL bacon! Give us that crappy tasting turkey bacon substitute instead!"

I'm not buying this one bit. Have you ever tasted turkey bacon? Ugh! Horrible. Methinks this has to do with the Feds not wanting to offend the Muzzies so now all the prisoners have to suffer. Sorry, prisoners, but Sharia law rules your prisons.

This makes no sense. If the inmates don’t like bacon, why would you even consider giving them a bacon substitute?

Just read an article this week about how more Americans are switching to pork because it's CHEAPER relative to beef. And who doesn't like bacon? A pack of lies.

Turkey bacon is HORRIBLE! I bought a pack a few years ago out of curiosity. So bad that after one bite, I threw the rest away AND spit out what I was chewing.

Next pork will be removed from the school lunch program.

And then pork will be banned from the military food menu-there will still be lots of “pork” in the budgeting
process.

Hot dogs will be made from real dogs....

No one likes the taste of bacon or pork rpoducts.

That's why people not in prison only buy about 25 billion pounds of US produced pork every year.

This is just more government lies and bullscat in a feeble attempt to cover up the creeping sharia they are pushing on the nation.

Good, would this be enough to spark riots so those muslim bastards get wiped out in prison uprising?

Why isn’t there a choice of either one? Inmates who prefer pork bacon are being discriminated against because of Muslim PC correctness!

Next pork will be removed from the school lunch program.

I wouldn't be surprised.

And then the price of bacon falls to pennies a pound and then great rejoicing will be had.

this doesn’t matter.

“empowerment” matters

“you go girl” matters

“#blacklivesmatter” ironically enough, matters

fighting against homophobia, transphobia and who knows what else phobia matters.

I figure Rome was into similar nonsense when it fell.

i dont know if i hate obama or the people that voted for him more

What a wonderful thing clarity of thought can be. Thank you for today's moment of sanity.
