Looks like the Russians are creating a kill box - slaughtering everything inside that box then the regular Syrian army occupies that land and the Russians moving onto the next kill box....

They’re basically flying tanks. Don’t seem to have changed much since the Afghan War in the 1980’s, thirty years ago. Only differences between this footage and images from those days are the HD video capture, flatter better watered terrain, and buildings that aren’t just rocks and mud brick. It will be interesting to see how the Russians react when a Hind goes down and the crew is beheaded on live feed to Al Jazeera.
