The front-runner to replace House Speaker John Boehner says the United States should work with its allies to set up a no-fly zone in northern Syria in the campaign against Islamic State militants.
Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy also said Monday that the U.S. should consider putting some special forces on the ground in Iraq to help in directing more effective airstrikes against the militants.

QUESTION
Why would the US have the right to establish no-fly zones in another country that we are not at war with?
Methinks this is an attempt to give safe zones for ISIS - protection from Russian bombings.
Rather like our ‘gun-free’ zones that the shooters use - like the last one. One man, who had a carry permit but didn’t have his weapon on him BECAUSE OF the gun-free zone - took 5 bullets trying to stop the shooter. If he had his weapon - probably no more than one person would have died - well, the perp would have - early on.
NO news stories on this aspect- )
