Uncle Volodya has forgotten more about power than little Barry has ever learned.

keep in mind, we're the ones who can't pay for healthcare for our veterans.

But we damn sure can pay for healthcare for all the illegals and layabouts here. Not to mention the funding of fake Syrian rebels. Don't get me started.

we’re $18 trillion in debt. Our debt to GDP rate is greater than 100%. The only reason we can pay for anything is because of the petrodollar and that’s what Putin is going after.

Putin is not stupid. I wish we had a president who would think of the United States first.

The Corker Bill Republicans pushed in connection with the Iran deal also lifted sanctions on the Iranian regime and the Republicans put on a show of opposition to the nuclear deal with Corker’s bill enabling the talks that led to the deal in the first place.

Rush Limbaugh said the Republicans wanted to lift sanctions on Iran so the 150 billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets could be used by Iran to repair its civilian aircraft with Boeing making $$$$.

Lenin said the Capitalists would sell Communists the rope the Commies would use to hang them. I guess it still applies to the Iranians in our day and time.

Daily Mail is just making headline magic. Russia has general conscription although many avoid it so conscription calls like that happen multiple times every year. They have 1 year conscription so they are releasing the same amount.

According to the chart below there should be ~700k 19 year old males in Russia now, so this 150k is only ~20% of them.

Russia is just Mexico with nukes (and I’m being unkind to Mexico, here).

That isn’t even close to being true though I don’t doubt that you believe it.

You can visualize it here. The good news is that Russia still ranks over Haiti, barely.

Having an American aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf is not smart. The Iranians are not logical in the same way as Americans so we can not rely on them consistently acting one way or another. The ones I knew in school had a view of the world that was not only weird, it was Mobius weird, Escher print weird. We should keep our valuable assets out of the range of their weapons.

Try visualizing it this way.

There's no comparison.

and then there's the nuclear power.

Ok, so I said that Russia is basically Mexico with military power, and you post a link that shows Russia has more military power than Mexico. Derp.

You said that they were basically Mexico with nukes and then supported that BS with a comparison of economic freedom. Who gives a fart about their economic freedom? DERP!

LOL at your #8, then. I guess Russia’s economy is irrelevant, now.

Really? Post #8 speaks for itself. Economically, there’s no comparison between the two countries. Russia is not just Mexico with nukes and a graph comparing economic freedoms is completely irrelevant to such a statement. Russia a nuclear superpower. Mexico is a third world sh___hole.

Interesting thread just posted:

Russia's gross domestic product in 2014 was $1.86 trillion, according to The World Bank. That's less than the state of California, which had gross state product of $2.312 trillion! Russia's population is only slightly larger than Japan's. And Russia's average GDP per capita is less than Turkey's.
