Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner claimed during the U.N. General Assembly on Monday that a former Obama administration official attempted to convince Argentina to “provide the Islamic Republic of Iran with nuclear fuel.” The claim was seemingly overshadowed by President Barack Obama’s high-stakes dealings with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kirchner claimed Gary Samore, former White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction, visited Argentina and suggested the nation provide Iran with nuclear fuel in 2010, two years into Obama’s presidency.

John Kerry was pushing this notion in his 2004 Presidential campaign. This is a long cherished dream of the Left. See in the deranged Leftist world view of the current Democrat Leaders everything wrong in the world is the US fault. The “solution”, in their view, is to give any anti American nations everything they want so they “like us”. I don't believe this at all. More likely a round about way to provide Iran with materials it wanted. Just like when we drop supplies to the wrong side, or allow muntions to fall into the wrong hands in Iraq, or don't really bomb ISIS, or secretly arm "the good rebels", and on and on it goes.

I read the article. Seems like some kind of deal to get them high end uranium in return of giving russia most of its low end uranium which would be upgraded and sent to France.
Iran reneged and that’s when obama supposedly put harsher sanctions on them.
but this is all from the point of view of the guy who asked Argentina in the first place.
