“I would be suspicious of anybody who claimed to be embedded with ISIS. Journalist or otherwise.”

Your logic being?

My guess: ISIS will have suicide teams walking around spreading radioactive material like it was fertilizer...

It won't be noticeable until Geiger counters start going off - then there will be panic because our side is too stupid to ever plan for anything ahead of time. It'll be 'Katrina' because Obama's a Nagin...

Once 'our guys' have terrified citizens by telling them not to leave the hot zone - the terrorist will use conventional weapons to slaughter frightened victims.

Muslim lowlifes don't have wads of cash like the United States - so they use things like pressure cookers, box cutters, dead children etc.

It's not hard to figure out what they'll do... Here's how they think: ‘what's cheap, effective, maximizes terror, and can be done with fools willing to die to make it happen.’

Best thing for us to do is prepare citizens and first responders... then ask the press to do the kind of stories they do before Hurricane season... but for radiation. ISIS doesn't bluff... if they can do this, they will... We should be prepare.

They wouldn’t have to go nuclear to have an impact. Simultaneous homicide bombings across the nation would certainly stir up a hornets nest. If indeed they are seeking “religious cleansing”, then perhaps they’ll be attempting to attack our churches and synagogues. There were two ‘minor’ bombings/explosions a couple months ago at churches in Las Cruces NM that perhaps could be test runs for bigger events: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3319788/posts

It wouldn’t be hard for Islamic State to coordinate a mass bombing or shooting events all across the nation some Sunday morning....

Rumsfield, et. al. were more concerned about suitcases. The new deal between Russia and Iran and China and Iran will place recently tested ordinance in the hands of the world’s State Sponsor of Terrorism.

.....”what was insightful was how the German people were so ‘easily manipulated into following’ a self-destructive and murderous regime... Disinformation and propaganda were very effective.....Right up to the end they were believers and followers.”......

Rather like hard core Obama followers today.....and those supporting the Pope....as well those who follow Islam teachings......the masses are very easily mislead today despite the availability of truth....the problem is people don't want the truth it's easier to believe in a false utopia spewed by politicians and religious leaders.....

We are witnessing the initial stages of the rise of a one world government and religion in the making......and the populations of all nations are ripe for it.....deceptions will rule because truth does not want to be seen or heard

I agree mostly with you but they have traditionally targeted markets too. That equates to malls in America and they get to affect commerce as a bonus.

I don't think they would be stupid enough to attack schools but they are the softest of all targets. The chechnians did in Russia so it is in their playbook.

In America an attack on children would unite many factions to go out muzzie hunting with no bag limit.

It's too early in the game for suitcase nukes... doubtful ISIS could get their hands on anything like that... easy to trace and the big boys aren't ready to play at that level. China sees time as being on their side... they're playing the long game. Besides, Russia, China, and Iran are playing chess - not whack a mole. In a war with Iran, Russia could be a toss up... better to have them on our side. Lots of things to think about here...

It's not as bad as it seems on the ISIS level... ISIS communication technology is advanced - that makes them look better than they are - it's deceptive. Their killing methods are primitive, backward and stupid - just like they are...Maybe we should hook up with Russians and clean them out. Could help in the short run.

Not a lot of good choices to pick from... Obama's painting us into a corner.

Well your suspicion is well grounded. Here is a the Wikipedia bio of the German reporter. He is obviously a Bush-hating lefty who blames everything ISIS is doing on Bush's failures in the past.

Jürgen Todenhöfer

But, having said that it appears he really did embed with ISIS, perhaps his previous criticism gave them comfort in allowing him this privilege.

Here is an Al Jezera inerview with him, after his return from the IS. It includes some pictures of him in country.

Al Jazeera: How did they impose censorship?

Todenhofer: In a sense there was censorship. Sometimes we weren't allowed to film. For example, in the car, they did not want us to film because they didn't want attention drawn to us. At the end they controlled all the photos. They took all 800 photos we took and deleted 9 for very valid reasons. One, for example, is that they say the families of the ISIL fighters in the photos could be in danger if the photo gets out and gets published.

So, if he has 800 pictures from IS he did apparently do what he said.

* Disinformation and propaganda *

I think these are the mottos for ABC NBC CNN and CBS.

I believe that a tattoo that says, “Disinformation and propaganda” is required to work at HuffPo, MSLSD, Time and Newsweak.

"...first attacks will be smaller nuclear devices likely detonated in a large metro area."

That's my take on it - and the resulting economic convulsions will make 911 look like child's play. We will spiral down from there.

I disagree based on the report that was issued the very same day as the 911 Report hit the streets. This other report was buried in the noise surrounding 911. But the novel that was written based on the report was cited on the Floor of the House of Representatives as the single book most important for every American to read as being necessary for future preparedness. All it will take is one to three EMP devices detonated not too far up in the atmosphere in three different regions of the nation and in one fell swoop, we return to the stone age. All critical infrastructure wiped out. Better to be prepared before because ONE SECOND AFTER will be too late, forever.

I suggest you read this book: SCHMOOZING WITH TERRORISTS before you get so suspicious. This was an incredible book. I came across it just before I got my Master's Degree in Homeland Security and it taught me a lot.

This isn’t even new news, for the most part. If you do a search for Jurgen Todenhofer, you’ll find he came back from Iraq (ISIS) back in 2014.

For example:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/inside-isis-the-first-western-journalist-ever-given-access-to-the-islamic-state-has-just-returned-9938438.html

(Note that “people of the book”, Christians and Jews actually are to be treated better by ISIS than others. So, I would guess ISIS primary targets might be chosen accordingly. San Francisco is in the crosshairs?)

Maybe the bit about nukes & hundreds of millions of potential deaths will get the attention of someone? Cruz, Carson, or Trump, perhaps?

Do I think ISIS can pull this off? Probably not. But even if they are only 1% successful, good God...

Dropped my mom, sister and niece at the International Terminal 5 at O’Hare Airport for a flight to Europe. There were two Homeland Security K9 explosive trucks right out front of the terminal. I had never seen that before.
