I speak figuratively, of course. I have to admit that I would have great difficulty not being a severe disciplinarian in a case like this. I would concede that if you are having to deal with this at 19 you had failed much earlier.

The desire to strangle a 19 year old, your very own daughter, and her lover, because they desire sex is utterly depraved. It’s so depraved that a young adults desire for sex pales into insignificance compared to it.

Maybe she thought things were headed that way soon, and got them in anticipation that it would be soon. It probably wasn’t “ok, we are going to get busy Friday afternoon, ill buy the condoms and you pick the music”.
