Donald Trump: America Needs ‘Fair Trade,’ Not ‘Free Trade’
Breitbart ^ | 27 Sep 2015 | Alex Swoyer

Posted on 09/27/2015 8:42:57 PM PDT by Red Steel

“Claims that trade deals increase exports and create jobs are based on flawed trade models, and on distorted and one-sided interpretations of the findings of those models,” Scott explained.

“If you’re president, you’re going to have to live with it,” Pelley said to the billionaire businessman during the interview, referencing NAFTA.

Trump fired back: “Excuse me, we will either renegotiate it or we will break it. Because, you know, every agreement has an end.”

Pelley said Trump can’t just break the law.

“Excuse me, every agreement has an end. Every agreement has to be fair,” Trump reiterated. “Every agreement has a defraud clause. We’re being defrauded by all these countries.”

Pelley told Trump that “free trade” is the “plank” of the Republican Party.

“Scott, we need fair trade. Not free trade,” Trump clarified. “We need fair trade. It’s got to be fair.”

Saw that. Trump was magnificent.

He also showed he’s fully briefed on the Eisenhower solution to deporting millions of illegals. It seems he must have people reading Free Republic.

Excellent!

Name one candidate who is even discussing this? They don’t exist.

Free trade, as a two way street, is fair.
Free trade, as it has been defined in NAFTA and other agreements with MFN countries is far from either free or fair.

We’ve been had.

Regardless of how this primary turns out, thank you DJT for talking plainly about the messes our entrenched political class have gotten us into.

This guy is hitting a home run on the issues (except maybe, how he's going to rid us of those filthy raghead trash that the White House have brought in).

My concern is that the liberals (of both parties) are going to beat him via voter fraud. Heaven knows none of them are above it.

In that msm 60 minutes bit, the reporter guy said to Trump, “This is 60 Minutes”, implying we’re important, you must tell us every detail.

Reporter guy was nearly vibrating.

Hilarious!

That was a good interview. Let’s see 60 minutes try to tear into Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton like that and see how they fair. Trump made mincemeat of that slimy “journalist” who kept telling Trump that he can’t do this or that. Has anyone ever told Obama he can’t do anything?

My sense is that there is going to be too many cross over votes from other parties to get away with that.

What a shame, NAFTA being Reagan’s idea . . . but this is what we get.

Name one candidate who is even discussing this? They don’t exist.

Trump's got the lead over the rest of them on this issue and the economy. He know contracts and how to squeeze the best out of them.

The next two debates are about economics. Trump can put more distance between himself from the crowd in the next two months. His tax plan is out tomorrow.

free trade is fair. I think what’s confusing is those calling managed unfair trade as free trade

Yep, Bush just said he's going to win SC, you can take that to the bank.

SC is an open primary like Mississippi. Surely to God we can stop this nightmare before it recurs.

I’m still in support of, and cannot see changing my support to anyone other than T. Cruz, but I wish during my working years I’d had the pleasure of working with this guy Trump. I like the way he thinks.

“Can’t” is a dirty word.
