Carly Fiorina on Sunday defended her assertion that an undercover sting video shows Planned Parenthood officials keeping a “fully formed fetus” alive “to harvest its brain.”
At the second Republican presidential debate earlier this month, one of Fiorina’s strongest moments came when she described a gruesome scene from one of the controversial undercover videos.
"A fully-formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, 'We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain’,” Fiorina said at the time.
Fiorina’s description of the scene, and her supporting super-PAC’s subsequent use of it in an campaign ad, have been under fire, as media fact checkers and Planned Parenthood have said it was cobbled together using misleading and unrelated footage.
“Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd on Sunday asked Fiorina to acknowledge this.
“There is no evidence that the scene you described exists,” Todd said. “Are you willing now to concede that you exaggerated that scene?”
“No, not at all,” Fiorina responded. “That scene absolutely does exist. And that voice saying what I said they were saying, ‘We're going to keep it alive to harvest its brain,’ exists as well’.”
“Planned Parenthood will not and cannot deny this because it is happening,” Fiorina continued. “It is happening in this nation. And taxpayers are paying for it. Planned Parenthood desperately wants everyone to think this isn't going on. Because when Americans realize it is going on, whether they are pro-life or pro-choice, they are horrified. This goes to the character of our nation and it must be stopped.”
Todd accused Fiorina of ducking the issue, saying “the footage you describe at best is a reenactment.” Fiorina hit back, and criticized Todd for not asking Hillary Clinton about the issue when she sat for an interview earlier in the day.
“Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck,” Fiorina said, talking over the anchor. “Do you think this is not happening? Does Hillary Clinton think this is not happening? So sad that you missed the opportunity to ask Mrs. Clinton why she said, ‘Late-term abortions were only performed for medical purposes.’ That is patently false. This is happening in America today. And taxpayers are paying for it. That is a fact. It is a reality. And no one can run away from it.”
Fiorina supports defunding Planned Parenthood, and has said congressional Republicans should take the fight to the White House, even if it results in a government shutdown.
That option seems less likely now that Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has announced his resignation. But Fiorina on Sunday said there are still “a variety of ways to deal with this.”
“I believe this is something we must stand up and fight for,” Fiorina said. “Because it is about the character of our nation. Taxpayers are funding this activity. And not only that, not only are taxpayers having to fund this butchery, but Planned Parenthood doles out millions of dollars every single election cycle to Democrat candidates. This is a political slush fund on top of being butchery that Americans, again, whether they're pro-life or pro-choice, cannot support.”
On Saturday, Planned Parenthood supporters confronted Fiorina at a University of Iowa football game. Protesters shouted at her: “Off-sides for telling lies,” and “layoffs, lies, no surprise, Carly fumbles for these Hawkeyes.”
Fiorina said on Sunday the protesters also threw condoms at her.
“I don't know what that has to do with this,” Fiorina said. “They're trying to distract the American people from the hideous reality that Planned Parenthood is aborting fetuses alive to harvest their brains and other body parts. That is a fact.”

Actually the Latin core root is of the young while in the womb, but was used in literature to expand into a bringing forth of the young, as in offspring.
This more likely resulted from a respect, now long since past, for the baby still in the womb as a person. In times past they saw no difference, a baby to be was as respected as offspring as the baby in the carriage.
The definition of fetus as an unborn mammal predates by centuries the acceptability of abortion, and there is no correlation between the medical definition and the modern blood culture of madam Sanger.
My point remains the same.
The continuing use of the term fetus by Ms. Fiorina, shows either a) an indoctrination into the modern culture of acceptable speech, or b) a shallow attempt to use careful and discreet language to appeal to people so indoctrinated.
A child, alive and on the table, ex-utero, is by proper medical definition no longer a fetus, as a fetus is by definition in-utero and unborn.
The child alive on the table has been born, is no longer a fetus, and is properly defined as a baby.
If Ms. Fiorina truly wants to hammer this point home, she would do well to revisit her use of acceptable speech and the PC extension of Fetus to any child not yet accepted by the mother.

If it is in the videos, she could just play it for anyone to see.
This is almost like she is trying to discredit people concerned with these videos.

These videos were public and still are. It should be a small matter for someone to post some links if such scenes exist so we can watch them for ourselves.

I thought I watched all the videos. I heard the things Fiorina alludes to described in graphic detail but I never saw actual footage of them. If it exists, she should have had it at hand or else not put forth that the actual video footage of the occurrence exists.
Why is Carly Fiorina the only Republican candidate willing to fight back against the Planned Parenthood/Democratic Party axis of evil for requiring Americans to fund the horrors being perpetrated on innocent babies?
Today many Americans are watching football games. If Carly Fiorina were a football player carrying the ball against Planned Parenthood’s evil team of butchers, the vast majority of Americans would be screaming, ‘’Go, Carly!’’ at the top of their lungs. But not Carly’s fellow Republican presidential candidates.
If Planned Parenthood wins the game this year in Congress, it will continue to receive funds from American taxpayers and likely perpetrate even worse crimes, knowing there will be no negative consequences even from a Republican-dominated Congress.
Where are the Republicans in Congress willing to stand up and take this issue to the Democrats by forcing President Obama to shut down the government if next year’s budget includes a provision withdrawing funds from Planned Parenthood? Nowhere to be seen.
So for those who want an end to the Josef-Mengele-type of atrocities going on daily in America, it’s Carly Fiorina or nobody.

Yes, I said that up there — she screwed herself and the campaign against Planned Genocide by making it obvious that she had NOT watched them.
That’s the other possibility.
It’s a downright shame that Fiorina has shot down what is one of the most important issues in the upcoming budget battles with her efforts to contrive a visual that is based on a truth, but is not an actual depiction of events. One would think and hope that she had more common sense. She’s digging a hole for herself and giving ammunition to the other side.
