AL Congressman Mo Brooks: Next Speaker May Be From the ‘More Liberal Wing’ of GOP
Breitbart ^ | 26 Sep 2015 | Trent Baker

During Friday’s Yellowhammer Radio with Cliff Sims, Rep. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) discussed the resignation of House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH).

While Boehner’s resignation is not effective until October 30, Brooks speculated on who the replacement would be, saying there is a “smorgasbord” of potential replacements “from the more liberal-wing of the Republican Party.”

No thanks Mel (er, Mo) - we already tried that “more liberal wing” foolishness.

Boehner was already Obie From Nairobi's political rent boy. How much more 'liberal' can they find? I didn't think the Graham/Chafee wing of the GOPe had that deep a bench these days........

Let me know how that works out for you. Sounds like a good way to finish off the GOP.

He is my rep and introduced Ted Cruz at Cruz’s Huntsville townhall. Very conservative . A good man, but realistic about the mess in the House.

I met him years ago and kinda liked him but he is WRONG on this. I do not think he understands what is going on in this country.

Brooks is my congressman here in North Alabama. He is VERY conservative. Boehner came down here and campaigned for Parker Griffith (former DEm) against Brooks in the GOP primary. Brooks crushed Griffith.

Brooks is one of the good guys. VERY conservative.

Too those who don’t know Month Brooks this is a heads-up as to what he sees coming. He usually knows what’s going on and what he is saying here certainly does not surprise me one bit.

They will win the speakership once again. Maybe next year we will be able to get a real conservative in...

People need to tell him that he is not alone about being worried... there are many of us that are tired of the manure being thrown at us (silent majority?!?).
That being said, the polititions need to open their eyes of their constituants.. “We The People”.

He is wishfully thinking.

I’d take a good solid conservative Southerner. NO more Northerners like Boehner or Romney or Ryan.

If you think that, you don’t know Mo Brooks.

You guys like him? I think he is more like Richard Shelby than Jeff Sessions --- conservative only by constituency and not by conviction.

Do any other Freepers read posts before commenting anymore? In the excerpted article (and audio recording), Brooks goes on to name a few possible Conservative candidates for the Speakership. Brooks also describes how Conservative members can block liberal candidates by sticking together on votes. Mo Brooks is a real Conservative. Let’s read the damned articles, people!

If I had a conservative rep, I would definitely send an email telling him/her to stay strong and that we are still supporting conservative legislation out here in the districts and not go wobbly.

It is so important that they are not discouraged.
I have a weakling, low profile rep.
