I did have friends who navigated their kids from one public magnet school to another. Both of them wound up at Whitney Young High School, which is reputed to be a very very good high school.
My public high school was quite good: we were taught math and physics by PhD's, some of whom were alumni of the Manhattan Project, and had the missing fingers and radiation scars to prove it. We had Hans Bethe give a lecture once.
Shuffling people from the ghettos to the suburbs is part of Obama’s plan.
They will probably use the racial stats from the next census.
It would be odd if lots of people “accidently” checked off the wrong race and the suburbs came up racially diverse in the census, therefore avoiding an influx of outside folks.

My Dad and both of my Grandpas were Machinists/Welders who worked on The Manhattan Project.
Of course, they didn’t know it until later... ;)
Busted!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself) The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. Metmom holds both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail Metmom if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
It is impossible to reform a godless, price-fixed, and socialist-entitlement cartel and that is exactly what government schooling is. It must abolished.
