Wouldn’t THAT be rich?! The GOPee demands that Trump sign a non-rogue party pledge with the intent of protecting Jeb; and Jeb turns out to be the very one who goes rogue.

Kasich is positioning himself to be VP. He’s the GH Bush to any potential Reagan out there that the Party will shove down that candidates throat. You have to win moderates....and Ohio...

Moreover, I think that most-—not all-—of the GOP rank-and-file would support the nominee and see such an “end run” by a Yeb or Bush as a total betrayal. Which could be good. It could cause the much needed purification of the GOP, which, if it does not happen, will result in the GOP’s final destruction. I think 2016 is the last chance for the Republican Party as we know it.

You’re all barking up the wrong tree.

Mark Zuckerberg was just “warning” Trump about something the other day.

It would be someone like that, NOT a current politician.

The Establishment would never orchestrate a third party run against an outsider. They didn’t for Pres. Reagan.............................................

Kasich might be sort of the John Anderson of this cycle?

(And making Trump the Reagan!).

Could happen, and could also result in a Trump win.

Remember Mississippi!

Ha, half of Freeperdom forgot that slogan within a week after the primaries and insisted we must now vote GOPe in the general, come hell or high water, in order to finally have the numbers to stop the chief muslim.

"Obama thanks you, purist." is what I remember being vomited from their RINO keyboards over and over.

I think the party would rather see Hillary or Biden elected than Trump. They think they could work with one of them...look how good they've worked with obama. They're used to being doormats. They're comfortable with the way things are. The GOPe doesn't want to do anything that might endanger their perks, personal privileges and power.

TPTB will do anything to keep Trump out of the White House. That’s because there has been so much corruption that Trump could put thousands of people in jail for life (if not worse).

Everyone from current politicians to David Rockefeller and the Bush family.

I agree with you on this,LS.

I'll also add that we will have wasted four years by then.

The end of the GOP should have been started right after the disastrous 2012 election.

2014 was America giving the GOP one more chance to get Congress right.Evidently this has now failed.

Time is almost up to even TRY to get on the ballot in all 50 states.

The uniparty was stunned and flabbergasted that Reagan managed to win despite them. They have since developed an immune response. Will make damned sure THAT doesn't happen again.

“Time is almost up to even TRY to get on the ballot in all 50 states.”

Are you talking about the primary, or the General election?

I think there s PLENTY of time for 3rd party applicant to enter the General, where they will do the most damage.

The problem is the demographics have changed a lot since ‘80 and the numbers of the entitlement army and illegals are much larger. Any Democrat is going to command at least 42% of the vote, resulting in a “Clintonian plurality” type win with 370+ evs. 1992 and 1996 are more a predictor.

“Why go THIRD party, Jeb? You’d run away with the Democrat nomination!”

Ouch! But accurate.

Not a chance, the Bush name is absolute poison to Dems. They may vote for him in the primaries as part of Op Chaos 2016 but never in November.
