I read back then that he was nominated 3 weeks before he took office. Idiots.

The racist Nobel Prize committee is just trying to muddy the waters. Everyone knows that Obama should have been awarded the Peace Prize the very first day he was in office. There was no need to wait for any fancy pre-determined ceremonial date.

well wait, his past accomplishments included slackery, lying about his background, deceiving the public about who he really was, voting “present”, and playing golf. If they gave him the award in hopes he would continue and do even more - they should be delighted with how things have turned out.

He was awarded it because he was elected. Nothing more.

I read back then that he was nominated 3 weeks before he took office. Idiots. The utter world-wide love-trance that the MSM and the various elites were experiencing back in late 2008 and through most of 2009 was unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. It was dismaying and a little bit frightening.

IIRC, they announced the award just a few weeks after he took office. It just took them a while to get around to the actual ceremony.

As long as everyone else here is yawning, I think I’ll join in. Some other Nobel Peace Prize winners:
Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Yaaser Arafat, Mikhail Gorbachev.
i dunno, the peace prize for the guy who single handedly caused conglagurations in dozens of countries with millions of refugees? The guy who is hell bent and determined to wash the entire middle east with nuclear weapons so that tens of millions of jews can get fried? The guy who is encouraging race wars and cop kilking at home and applauds when cities burn themselves to the ground. The guy who lets russia do whatever it wants, and kill whoever is in their way? Yeah....I can’t remember a more peaceful time ever

Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, Mikhail Gorbachev. At least Jimmy Carter was trying to do the right thing, in his own naive way. The others not so much.
