True enough. I like The Donald because he's moving the Republican field to the right by skewering sacred cows.
That being said, I'm not sure if I want my country's chief negotiator to be a man whose opening conversational gambit is, "AllRight, listen up, you #$@$@$@#$@s"
The media, and frankly 90% of today's GOPe, doesn't know how to deal with someone like that, so they cower and wet themselves like a puppy being swatted with a newspaper. And we all cheer, because "They're getting what they deserve!!".
I cheer too, but what'll happen when Trump sits down across the table from an honest-to-goodness tough guy like Putin? Someone whose idea of negotiating comes in both 9mm AND 10mm sizes?
Certainly, Trump is a better candidate for that job than Hillary!, or BO, or (shudder) Sanders .... but I think that a real negotiator will take all the hot air out of him, quickly.
I give Trump the benefit of the doubt that drastic cuts will have to be made... as I said, they’ll simply have to be. By sheer force of personal will, he may be the only person who can do just that.
I thought that too in the beginning.. but after listening to him I don’t get that “feeling”..
He has worked beautifully with democrats or republicans..
I don’t think he sees anything wrong with BIG Government..
Just the inefficiency of it.. and the “GUYS” running it..
I think he thinks appoint the right people and BIG Government could work..
I don’t think he sees or even cares about the size of federal government.. LIKE A DEMOCRAT.. who have no problem with federal government no matter how BIG it is or gets..
He cares ONLY (as I see it) about how ...well... BIG government works..
The major difference with Ted Cruz is he KNOWS BIG federal government can never work correctly.. Can become and “IS” a rogue... and a monster.. and I must say an ENEMY to State government.. totally UN-Constituional because the US Constitution was MADE EXPRESSLY to limit the size and scope BIG FEDERAL GOVERMNENT..
AND WHY? democrats have historically and still despise it..
Do you really think he couldn't negotiate on a civil plane with Putin and other world leaders?
In his long history of high-stakes business dealings, have a multitude of his associates or business rivals come forth with dirt, scandals, allegations he's anything other than he's tough but fair, personally and privately a nice guy, generous to a fault, unique but not a fraud?
If he is what you fear so much...there'd be a slew of people he's dealt with in the past coming forward with allegations. But there's none.
He's in a POLITICAL battle right now and he's not going to deal with the competition and the corrupt media as he would in a corporate board room meeting.
You are paralyzing yourself with indecision and straw men. I say to folks like yourself, stop your over-analyzing and your continual-agitated looking for nits, then make a reasoned choice from the GOP candidates....then help pull the damn wagon or get out of the way.
Reading posts replete with someone's constant agonizing, self-doubts and their inner Trump-turmoil becomes so boring and irrelevant.

Well said. If we look at the way Trump is running his campaign, where he hasn’t spent zillions of dollars for ads, comes and goes on his own transportation, operates his campaign from the basement of his hotel—these are all indications of the frugal way he will run a presidential administration. He is devoted to efficiency and careful spending, while taking in a huge income. Let his admirable work ethic be translplanted into our government—efficiency will enable it to shrink.
As I said in another post a few days ago, I’m so angry at the state of affairs, that I simply want someone who is going to walk in and kick all the furniture over.
It's like I always watch CNN and PMSNBC when Fox has fluff on so that I can see what the other side's pinheads are up to.
Keeps me sharp.

My vote for House speaker goes to Jeb Hensarling of Texas. McConnell will continue to pimp for Obama and the Democrats!!! His removal will probably have to wait for the election next year!!! Having said that....if the present Republican Senators had any brains at all....they move to dump McConnell right now!!! IMHO....if either a Democrat or Establishment Republican RINO is elected POTUS next year....you can kiss this country goodbye forever!!!!
Keep it in mind folks....that the Lord sends us a real leader....but, once and awhile. We have the magnificent opportunity to change the history and path of our beloved country for the better of all Americans. If we blow it and keep the Obama type class war, lowlife, corrupt politicians in power.....the American people will only have themselves to blame!!! I think Putin and Trump will get along thick as theives and may really get some things done. Trump may even win a peace prize (and earn it to). They may argue at first then Putin will get a smile on his face when he realizes Trump isn’t a girly man. Together they can take out ISIS—
