A Burkamobile!
Aren’t they still making a copy of an old 1970’s Fiat?
Pehkan I recall is the correct English spelling. Copy of the Hillman Arrow (Pehkan).
That is the car that the Japs copied into what is known as the Datsun 510.
We used to frequent one particular local (Tehran) hole in the wall rental place because they had one of the Pehkans all setup with the lowered rallye package and low profile tires. The Engine had twin Weber side drafts on it and there were parts inside made to use them.
The thing was a blast on the mountain roads.
“I put it in park but it rolled down the street so I-RAN”
90%? It seemed much larger than that, maybe 300% when I was there. The car had to be in country for I think five years to get to the 90%.
In 1974 my room mate sold his 1967 Olds Cutlas Convertible for over $5000, It was ragged out from so many trips in the snow to Dizin for the skiing trips, not to mention the city traffic.
BTW, it is no surprise that so many people are killed on their highways, especially at night.
