None. How about you? lol
You must be blind. Plenty of us discussing it in this thread. I imagine you must be a member of the "Free Trade" cult that has been so wonderful for us? But as another poster mentioned, Trump never said anything about interfering in the Free Market, just giving a highly accurate opinion!
I will have to go through his posts for other gems like the one you shared
I read that article and wondered in what context the question was asked because they then asked Ben Carson the same thing and then added at the bottom that Trump’s answer was similar to Hillarys. That may be, but I’m sure that Hillary would want to meddle in what big business pays their CEOs. This article is so completely biased - and of course, the anti-Trump people on here will jump on it as gospel because it fits their narrative.
To most paying attention, this has become inordinately clear. Yet middle America's wages have been stagnant for over 15 years.
It's corrupt and it reeks.
The CBS guy asked him about it directly and the first thing he said “I don’t know there’s anything you could do about it, its up to the companies”. Then he added that cronyism on boards is what gets them big packages and that most of those invited to be on a public company board are thrilled with it so they fall in line.
My two cents on it is this - the Boards are responsible to the shareholders in public companies. Entrepreneurs that own their companies, a la Trump, should make as much as they want. I’ve never taken salary since that’s not where the big score is for independent business. Lastly, whoever thinks on this board that CEO’s are making $165k is being ridiculous - a great software engineer with no mgmt. role makes that in New England.
Interlocking Directorates are big problem. Boards just look the other way in a “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours’”
The bandwagon mentality here just keeps growing. Used to be much more thoughtful post/ideas/opinions. Hopefully they will return. Various conservatives thoughts are always welcome.
+1
True, but it's still an accurate observation.
Trump s critical of the practice which is his prerogative, he isn't saying it should be Legislated by Government. That's all I care about.
Will all this matter during the Primary Elections, who knows, certainly not me. We have a long way to go.
Did presidential candidate Carson waste time answering this question?
These are useful thoughts and ideas. It’s just the Utopians who think that Free Trade or that CEOs can do no wrong and have the best interest of companies and workers and even consumers at heart that have this “bandwagon mentality.”
Very slick.☺
Too much truth for FR Free Traitors....you can’t pound it into their heads.
The CEOs of the S&P 500 are paid just about the same, on average, as the highest paid 500 athletes in the country. $10.5 million. It is a lot of money. But, let’s face it, anybody can manage a 100 billion dollar company. It takes real talent to win a ballgame.
40 years of crony corporate capitalism and the selling out of America is coming home to roost. Even tycoons like the Donald see it for what it is.
Watch-—he’ll come out tomorrow or the next day with a complete flip-flop of this position (after his handlers get through with him), and everybody will be all, “Whew! See, I knew he didn’t mean it!”
if he really wants to score points he should go after these lib run universities that charge insane tuitions and pay their Presidents 7 figures.
