In boot camp I was with the “Honor Guard”. I used to drill the company. My favorite was “Double-to-the-left, double-to-the-right, double-to-the-rear....HUT!”

I would have them on the grinder for hours and now that I think about it, they would always mess that one up on purpose! LOL

Here is a tune I think the Canteeners will enjoy. I heard it today on WBGO the jazz station in Newark, NJ. The singer is a lady name Renee Marie, I’ve never heard of her before, but this is a great jazz version of My Country ‘tis of Thee. Amazingly it only has 34 views on you tube. I haven’t listened to any of her other songs, but I will, but this one was perfect for today, I thought.

And thank heavens they didn’t strike the WH or Congress (whatever that building is called).

Can you imagine if all the legislators got taken out (yeah, yeah I know some folks would joke that was “a good start”) it would have thrown this country into chaos.

It was a very bad, no good, horrible day, but it could have been worse.
