Our old gal, Dixie, had to be put down last month. Was 15 yrs. old and got totally down and unable to get up. - I have felt peace about her. She lived a long life; had a politically incorrect name. Our other dog, Dub, has relaxed a lot since Dixie died. Dub’s 9 yrs. old and was under a lot of strain with total responsibility for looking after the place AND Dixie as well as us AND the cat, Brutus.
