Russia and the West have Swapped Spiritual and Cultural Roles
Russia Insider ^ | September 7, 2015 | Iben Thranolm

“Let me put it a different way. During the rule of Communism, Russia found itself in the grip of a culture of death, but she is returning to life, in the sense of Christian culture with a strong awareness of the historical roots and continuity.”

The situation in the West is the complete opposite. We celebrate death and have surrendered to the satanic view of man in a self-righteous rage and rant against God. We can divorce with ease on-line. We prioritise work and career above family responsibilities especially raising children. We favour euthanasia, abortion on demand, homosexual rights and same-sex marriage while our cities are submerged in Islam and growing segregation.

Russia has chosen a completely different direction, and it is one of the reasons that many Russians perceive activists like Pussy Riot as latter-day Bolsheviks. They invade and desecrate the sanctity of the church, a holy place. The West celebrates this as progress and prosperity. Russians are reminded that the spirit of communism is still alive. It merely assumes new forms and takes up residence in the West, where liberals and progressives love and adore Pussy Riot.

Today, the spirit of communism shows itself in western worship of human rights, freedom of speech and the elite’s utopian notions of so-called open societies. We are headed for the very wasteland that the Russians were relieved to leave behind. Patriarch Kirill has warned the West: “Do not take the path we took. We tried it and it leads to destruction!"

The Kremlin’s Troll Army: Moscow is financing legions of pro-Russia Internet commenters:

A June article by Max Seddon of BuzzFeed reported the Kremlin was spending millions of dollars to pay English-speaking Russians to promote President Vladimir Putin and his policies in U.S. media like Fox News broadcasting and The Huffington Post and Politico news sites. Trolls are reportedly expected to manage multiple fake accounts and post on news articles 50 times a day, often with sentiments as simplistic as “Putin makes Obama look stupid and weak!”

They do this only in an attempt to win the trust of anti-Obama folks -- a clever/sneaky way to add credibility to their pro-Russia, pro-Putin BS.
Yet it seems to work on some of us! In reality, Obama is the best thing that has happened to Russia in a long time.

Total bullshit. Russia has plenty of "Orthodox" Christians, but only 7 percent even attend church just once a month. There is also a bizarre synthesis of the elements of Communism and Stalinism with "Orthodox" nationalism. Hence we see stuff like this:

Russia is a degenerate country that isn't getting better. It's people live in a crap pile, and they like it that way, and they would like to make everyone in the world live like they do.

Those who hate Russia will deny it, but there is a lot of truth here. Sad for us, but true.

Invading your neighbors is not an act of Christianity.

Flying your nuclear armed bombers into other nation’s airspace is not the act of a Christian.

Arming a rogue states like Iran with Nuclear weapons, is not the act of a Christian.

Arming the one of the most strident enemies of Israel with nuclear weapons, is not the act of a Christian.

Now while the U. S. has just signed an agreement to let Iran persue it’s desires with regard to nuclear weapons, we haven’t provided know-how and the promise to arm them with state of the art delivery systems. Russia has.

The idea that Russia is today’s moral leader is about as flawed a perception as there could be.

The part about Russia might be pure propaganda and disinformation. But the part about us is completely accurate.

How could any true American NOT hate Russia for all they've done? They aid and arm our enemies. They're working closely with the ChiComs to build a joint fighting force to take us and our Western allies on. They invade their neighbors. They stifle free speech, jailing or outright killing political opponents, on and on.

We haven’t exactly switched places.

Before, they were crap and we were good.

Now, we’re BOTH crap.

I do think the US government does hate Christians, though.

They? That is a broad brush.

This story has a narrow point. I don’t see how you can deny it.

Right. Russia is a Christian nation. The United States is officially atheist.

The idea that Russia is today’s moral leader is about as flawed a perception as there could be.

It's more in the way of propaganda than flawed perception. It is known that Moscow has people posting on various websites around the country, including conservative ones like ours. And FR is one of the largest conservative forums around. So we should expect that they would infiltrate this site too, posing as Obama haters, etc... Obama, of course, has helped Russia in their stated goals perhaps more than any president in our history with his missile defense, nukes, and other deals.

No truth if your “Christian nation” doesn’t have any actual Christians in it. Well, except the ones who are persecuted by the regime.

The other great big joke about this is that Russia is allies with Iran, helping them build nuclear technology, which they will use to threaten Christians and Jews.
