Thanks.
Many of them are also a lot smaller population-wise and don't have the outlay for a large military or a large segment of the population on welfare like the U.S.
It is better not to argue with irrational people.
I truly was laughing out loud while I was reading that. My wife asked me what was so funny so I started reading the letter to her. I couldn't read it all the way through because I was laughing so hard so she took my laptop and started reading it herself.
She couldn't read it all the way through either because now were both laughing so hard we were crying.
We both needed that. Thanks again.
Back when McD’s added apples to their salads, they became the largest purchaser of Washington State apples. The all-day breakfast is anticipated to add to the increased price of eggs - already high due to bird-flu in the U.S.
But - it can be pretty disappointing when anticipating an Egg McMuffin and getting to the counter and realizing I got there 20 minutes too late!
FEMA uses Waffle House status as a gauge.
Open - Life is good.
Open, stripped down disaster menu - Cause for concern.
Closed - Send the cavalry to that area!
“Countries with those “greedy” capitalists have managed to do a far better job feeding and housing the poor than all those wonderful, socialist countries that exist “for the people.” “
Yep. I read a great piece either on the Von Mises or the FEE site that talked about the McDouble mini meal being a modern marvel; an economic and nutritional wonder. For less than $4 you can get more than a day’s required calories. Granted, it may no be the healthiest meal in the world but it is better than starving or eating the caloric equivalent in kale.
Don is a regular here in Fairfax CA. I see him out and about shopping ather frequently,
McDonalds bacon, egg and cheese biscuit - bet you can’t eat whole one without taking a drink of anything. That is the driest crumbly biscuit on earth.
I’d take a sausage and egg biscuit for lunch or dinner over a crummy burger any day. This could be a disaster for the diet!!!!
The bacon and pimento cheese biscuit is good. Any of their “ultimate” biscuits are, too.
Right is wrong, good is called evil, breakfast at dinner time. I give up!! /s
Your story in number 5 reminded me of when I and a few friends were cutting down a large oak tree in my front yard.
A tree hugger (woman) stopped her car in the street and motioned me to come over. She proceeded to cuss me, telling me that tree was hundreds of years old and had never hurt anybody and was a living thing, just like we were.
The tree was quite dead and could have fallen on my house if an especially strong wind came along. I didn’t tell her that though, I just looked her in the eye and said, I hate trees, always have, then I turned around and walked away. She burned rubber getting out of there. I know I ruined her whole day. (The devil made me do it.)
Disappointing, yes, and possibly even heartbreaking. Sometimes you just really want an Egg McMuffin. I’ve pulled up to the drive thru before right as they’re flipping the menu from breakfast to lunch mode. The grief in that moment is real.
I don’t know what it is about Egg McMuffins. I can make a homemade clone that’s pretty good but never quite like the real thing.
My wife figured it out fast. Beef is too expensive to make a profit these days. So Mickey D’s figured out to serve breakfast all day and help profits.
Smart thinking
I happened to be on the road at breakfast time one day last week, and stopped at the Golden Arches for a Sausage & Egg McGriddle w/ Cheese. First one in about 2 years. It was yummy. With the new hours I can have one, or a biscuit any time. Boooyaah!
Too funny!
Too funny!
I didn't grow up with grits, but I love em now. This morning; cheese grits with Cajun spice mix, diced onions and garlic, topped with three eggs over easy.
I didn't have any sausage, but I like to chop it up and put it in with the grits.
Black coffee.
Nom nom nom.
Well, their burgers pretty much suck. And they ended breakfast too early. Glad to hear they figured it out and got it right.
They have some pretty good stuff at breakfast, like the "Sausage Muffin" with 2 hash browns (2 bucks) Good large coffee...a buck.
Now if they could just get their burgers to be like Wendy's.
