Bingo! Kaine is running a scam for propaganda points.

More anti-firearms buffoonery from some Leftist.

Fortunately, it has little chance of passing.

“Kaine’s effort faces stiff competition from the Republican-controlled Congress.”

Say what? McConnell’s Senate? John Boehner’s House? Serious?
I don’t know what Tomas Monzon has been smoking, but I want some.
Doesn’t he know the only difference between the current Republican controlled Congress and the last Democrat controlled is this one will pretend to oppose the bill before rubberstamping it.

It is not just ONE law prohibiting sale of any kind of firearm to felons, there are dozens, and perhaps hundreds, if all the ordinances and statutes issued by municipalities and states across the entire nation are also included.

And not one of them makes on whit of difference in the number of guns that find their way into the hands of criminals and would-be criminals everywhere.

Modest proposal to curb or even reverse this frightening trend:

All persons of 16 years of age, and capable of properly holding a firearm of ANY kind, be given training in the care, feeding, and proper use at all times and in all circumstances, of firearms. Those who cannot or will not learn all these basics would be identified and weeded out quickly, with a chip implanted upon them as assurance to prevent them from even being allowed to purchase legally, and they may be identified quickly in the event of any misuse of a weapon acquired by extralegal methods.

Pass/fail basis only. No provisionals.

Bozo the Kaine is a putz who couldn’t find his ass with both hands. But now that Gov. MacRat has just restored voting rights to over 10,000 felons with many more to come, I’m afraid the Republican Party in Virginia is soon to be extinct.

There’s another “political word” to add to those that cause my butt to pucker, “responsible.” It joins “comprehensive,” common sense,” “fighting for me,” and several others. Notice that Trump uses none of those words.

Kaine's Responsible Transfer of Firearms Act would make federally licensed and private gun dealers liable for selling firearms to individuals who are prohibited from owning them.

RIGHT! So any time any FFL holder (including shops) would sell to you, they would need to:

  1. Go to the police station of every county, town, and state in the United States and get a police report for you, scanning for felony convictions and domestic violence convictions, and
  2. Go to every county courthouse in the United States and find out if you had any restraining orders, and
  3. Go to every hospital, psychiatric ward, and courthouse in the United States and find out if you were ever involuntarily committed for mental health reasons, and
  4. Get hair samples from every buyer and send them to a lab for evidence of drug use, and
  5. Go to every place you ever lived and find out from neighbors if you drank alcoholicly.

PERFECTLY reasonable.

So... you can’t ask about prior arrest records when interviewing a job prospect but you have to when selling a gun? How does the, “equal protection” clause allow this sort of discrimination? Haven’t they paid their debt to society? They want criminals to vote, don’t they, after being rehabilitated?

Maybe I should bake them a cake to celebrate their achievements?
