John Boehner’s Worst Nightmare: Mark Meadows Launches Mission to Fix Broken Congress

MORGANTON, North Carolina — Speaker Rep. John Boehner’s worst nightmare is on the rise here in rural North Carolina. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) is gaining steam as a clearly coordinated, highly orchestrated effort to remove Boehner as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives—and fix a broken Congress that no longer represents the wishes of the American people—comes into much clearer focus.

Meadows invited Breitbart News to accompany him on a district visit, and the concerns he discussed with his constituents offer a microcosm of the issues America wants Congress to address. Everyone here agrees: John Boehner needs to go as Speaker of the House, and Mark Meadows is doing something about that.

Unlike some others from the more conservative side of the House GOP conference, Meadows is calm, cool and collected. He doesn’t make headline-grabbing comments, and is a serious, well-connected and well-respected member of the conference. Despite clear efforts by leadership—Boehner’s office and its allies, including Chief Deputy Whip Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) who represents the district bordering Meadows’ here—to isolate him, Meadows’ credibility in the House GOP conference only seems to grow by the minute thanks to his steady demeanor and well-intentioned aim to steer Congress back onto a track that more effectively represents America’s views in Washington.

Just a hunch.

House Dems will offer Mister Boehner more support than the GOPers.

Just guessing, corrections invited.

There have been three GOP house speakers in my lifetime. How come Newt was the only one worth a damn?

Perhaps. But maybe not.

I have a simple theory about what it takes to become Speaker of the House (with advanced apologies to Newt Gingrich).

It takes MEDIOCRITY. Too conservative and you have no chance - too many votes to your Left. Too liberal and you also have no chance - too many votes too your right.

But if the porridge is not too hot or too cold and your political philosophy lacks substance, being neither too far right or left, you are a viable candidate for Speaker of the House.

Send Boehner a couple cases of Wild Turkey and he’ll drink himself into oblivion.

Because the Left didn’t have a war to harp on 24/7. Or at least not one they wanted to talk about.

I explain that in Post 7, just below yours. Newt was, unfortunately, an exception to the rule. He didn’t last.

He needs the help of other conservative press to call up H.RES.385 Declaring the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives vacant. It is co sponsored by Rep Jones, Walter B., Jr. [NC-3], Rep Massie, Thomas [KY-4] and Rep Yoho, Ted S. [FL-3], but has been referred to the House Committee on Rules.

Bonehead Boehner and Madman McConnell both need to go asap or they will bring the end of the GOP, which might not be bad if conservatives unite to destroy the rino run establishment gopee thieving lying regime in Congress.

LOL. I’m with you Jim, hopefully we are about to do just that.

But I will be shocked if we replace Boehner with someone to the Right of the Mushy Middle.

Send Boehner a couple cases of Wild Turkey and he’ll drink himself into oblivion.

He pretty much drinks himself into oblivion every night. Typically completely shit-faced by about 8pm.

Hasn't anyone else noticed that Boehner is a classic "functional drunk?"

Mark Meadows makes me proud, as both a Native North Carolinian, and an American.
We need more like him in Congress.

Yes! Congress is in fact broken. This clown, and his senatorial counterpart, need to go before this country gets to a vigilante stage. This so-called leader, who has emotional problems where he cries at the drop of a hat, is a pathetic creature and is NOT a leader.
